Description

High performance and ease of process

Polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) is a polymer belonging to the polyaryletherketone family (PAEK), known for its excellent mechanical properties, high operating temperatures and chemical resistance. PEKK is among the first super polymers used on the market, a 3D printing material which is easier to process than other super polymers of the same family. With self-extinguishing properties and UL 94 V-0 classified, it offers the flexibility to produce translucent parts for a wide range of industrial applications.

Main characteristics of PEKK

01) High dimensional stability

Roboze PEKK has a lower melt viscosity than PEEK which determines a greater adhesion between the layers. This feature makes it mechanically resistant in three directions, by increasing the isotropy of the 3D printed parts.

02) Easy to process

Roboze PEKK material has a lower extrusion temperature than other super polymers. Its amorphous structure limits the warping phenomenon allowing to print medium-large parts. It does not require a heated working chamber to be printed.

03) Self-extinguishing material

PEKK is an inherently self-extinguishing 3D printing material, UL 94 V-0 classified. Its flame retardant properties make it suitable for applications subject to fire risks.
