Material overview

316L is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel with molybdenum for superior pitting and crevice-corrosion resistance. Printed by LPBF it reaches over 99.5% density with mechanical properties at or above wrought, excellent weldability and full biocompatibility — the best-value everyday metal for fluid, marine and medical parts. Non-magnetic and readily passivated, electro-polished or CNC-finished after printing.

Highlights
  • Density: >99.5% — near-wrought
  • Corrosion: Mo-bearing, pitting-resistant
  • Biocompatible: medical & food-grade
  • Finish: passivation · electro-polish · CNC
