Lightweight aluminium-silicon-magnesium alloy with good strength, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance — the economical choice where weight reduction is critical.
AlSi10MgAlSi10Mg is a near-eutectic aluminium casting alloy whose rapid LPBF solidification produces a very fine microstructure with mechanical strength well above sand- or die-cast equivalents. As-built UTS reaches ~430-460 MPa; an optional T6 cycle trades strength for ductility. With low density, good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, it is the default alloy for weight-critical aerospace brackets, drone parts, heat exchangers and automotive housings. Anodizable for wear and cosmetic finishes.
