Alpha-beta titanium with an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. Biocompatible Grade 23 (ELI) — FDA-grade for medical implants and flight hardware.
Ti-6Al-4VTi-6Al-4V is the workhorse alpha-beta titanium alloy, combining high specific strength, low density and outstanding corrosion resistance. Grade 23 (ELI) lowers interstitial oxygen and iron for higher fracture toughness and biocompatibility. LPBF parts reach ~1,100-1,200 MPa UTS as-built; stress relief or anneal plus hot isostatic pressing (HIP) raise ductility and fatigue life for flight-critical and implant hardware. The benchmark metal for aerospace, motorsport and patient-specific medical parts.
