What your process engineer actually checks

Locked, traceable lot chemistry

Every lot ships with a COA documenting PSD, sphericity, flow rate, apparent density, and full chemistry — and a lot number you can trace. Aerospace and medical teams reorder 4+ times without re-qualifying.

Qualified parameters, not just powder

Validated parameter sets for EOS M 290, Renishaw 500Q, SLM 280, and our own AO Metal LPBF ship with the order. Load the profile and hit density on the first build — no parameter-development burn.

A materials engineer on the line

Questions on ferrite content, flowability, recyclate ratios, or HIP response? A materials engineer answers directly — not a contact-form bot. Most replies in under 4 hours, NDA standard.

About this product

LEXAN™ HF1130 is a UV-stabilized polycarbonate resin that combines high flow for easy processing with excellent clarity, heat resistance, and dimensional stability. This versatile grade delivers a robust balance of impact strength, electrical properties, and long-term property retention, making it suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High Flow (25 MFR): Enables easy filling of complex and thin-walled molds, promoting faster cycle times.
  • Excellent Clarity & UV Stability: Offers good light transmission and is stabilized for enhanced property retention in outdoor or lighting applications.
  • High Impact Resistance: Provides superior toughness and durability for demanding environments.
  • Good Heat Resistance: Suitable for applications exposed to elevated temperatures.
  • Strong Electrical Properties: Features a high Relative Temperature Index (RTI) of 130°C for electrical applications.

Primary Applications

  • Automotive Interior & Exterior Parts
  • Electrical Connectors and Housings
  • Lenses and Light Diffusers
  • Medical and Healthcare Components
  • Household Appliances and Goods
  • Outdoor Equipment and Enclosures

Processing Notes (Injection Molding)

  • Drying: 3-4 hours at 120°C is critical. Maximum moisture content should be < 0.020%.
  • Melt Temperature: 270 – 295°C (518 – 563°F)
  • Mold Temperature: 70 – 95°C (158 – 203°F)

Same lot 4 times in a row. We stopped re-running parameter sweeps after the second order — density was identical to the first build.

Asked about ferrite content on a Friday. A materials engineer answered Monday morning with actual data, not a sales pitch. That's why we keep ordering.

COA matches the bottle. PSD and flow are exactly what was on the sheet — we run it on a Renishaw 500Q and it hits density on the first try.
