Loctite 3D Cleaner C is an IPA-free cleaning liquid that removes uncured resin from SLA and DLP 3D-printed parts before UV curing. It holds more than 15% dissolved resin — versus under 10% for IPA — is non-flammable at ambient temperature, and rinses off in water.

A 75 °C flash point means Cleaner C is non-flammable at ambient temperature — unlike IPA, whose low flash point makes it a fire and storage hazard. Simpler storage, no flammable-cabinet requirement.

Cleaner C dissolves more than 15% resin before it needs replacing, against under 10% for IPA. The bath cleans more parts between changeouts, which cuts solvent consumption, waste and running cost.
Water-rinseable, clean finish
After the Cleaner C bath, a short rinse in clean water removes residual cleaner and resin, leaving a clean surface ready for UV curing — no greasy film to interfere with the cure.

How to wash with Cleaner C
A two-bath immerse, rinse and dry — then cure.
Step 01
Immerse & agitate
Wash parts in Cleaner C at 20–50 °C for about 2–4 minutes with agitation, ideally in a two-bath setup (used first bath, fresh second bath).
Step 02
Rinse in water
Rinse in clean DI water for 1–2 minutes with agitation to remove residual cleaner and dissolved resin from the part.
Step 03
Dry, then cure
Dry the parts — typically about 60 minutes at 20–25 °C — before UV post-curing, so the cure starts on a clean, dry surface.

What is Loctite 3D Cleaner C and what does it clean?
Loctite 3D Cleaner C is an IPA-free cleaning liquid for removing uncured resin from SLA and DLP 3D-printed parts before UV curing. Parts are immersed in the solution with agitation, then rinsed and dried. It is a general-purpose cleaner for standard Loctite and other photopolymer resins at ambient-to-warm bath temperatures.
Is it really non-flammable, and is it IPA-free?
Cleaner C is IPA-free and has a flash point of 75 °C (167 °F), so it is non-flammable at ambient temperature — unlike IPA, whose low flash point makes it a fire and storage hazard. It is still a solvent and should be handled per its SDS, but it removes the flammability concern that comes with an IPA wash bath.
How does its cleaning capacity compare to IPA?
Cleaner C holds more than 15% dissolved resin before it needs replacing, versus under 10% for isopropanol. In practice that means the bath cleans more parts between changeouts, cutting solvent consumption and waste. Additive Plus can advise when to change the bath for your throughput.
How do I use it in the wash workflow?
Use Cleaner C between 20 and 50 °C (it can be warmed to 50 °C to speed cleaning). Immerse parts for roughly 2–4 minutes with agitation, ideally in a two-bath setup (a used first bath, a fresh second bath), then rinse in clean DI water for 1–2 minutes with agitation and dry — typically about 60 minutes at 20–25 °C — before UV curing.
Which resins and printers is it for?
Cleaner C is used for cleaning DLP and SLA resin parts across the Loctite resin line and other photopolymers. For high-temperature resins or heated wash baths up to 80 °C — including the Loctite 3955 HDT280 FST material — Additive Plus recommends Loctite 3D Cleaner T instead, which is formulated to avoid peroxide generation when heated.
Do I still need to rinse after using Cleaner C?
Yes. After the Cleaner C bath, rinse parts in clean DI water for 1–2 minutes with agitation (some resin TDS also allow a short IPA rinse), then dry fully before UV curing. Rinsing removes residual cleaner and dissolved resin so the cured surface is clean.
