Description

Avimetal CoCrMo Powder is produced using VIGA to create highly spherical particles with a particle size range of 15–53 µm. Optimized for LPBF, it ensures smooth layer deposition, minimal spatter, and repeatable build quality across production runs.

The alloy composition (Co balance, 28.44 % Cr, 6.33 % Mo, low Ni, Fe, C, Si, Mn, W, P, S, Al, Ti, B) provides excellent mechanical strength and biocompatibility. After heat treatment, typical mechanical properties include: ultimate tensile strength 1000 MPa, yield strength 630 MPa, elongation 15 %, and high hardness suitable for demanding applications.

Avimetal CoCrMo supports extensive post-processing, including heat treatment, machining, and polishing, enabling the production of durable, precise, and biocompatible end-use components.
