ATO Material Reports

3D Lab · ATO ultrasonic atomizers

See how your alloy behaves on ATO before you buy an atomizer. 3D Lab has atomized each alloy below on its ultrasonic atomizers and documented the result in a material report. Tick the reports you need, leave your work email, and we will send them to you.

What is in a material report

Each report names the atomizer configuration used — ATO Lab with TIG or plasma melting, or the Induction Melting System — and the frequency range, then gives the particle size distribution (D10, D50, D90), average diameter and circularity of the unsieved powder, with histograms and micrographs. It closes with 3D Lab’s conclusion on how the alloy ran.

Common questions

My alloy is not on the list. Can it be atomized?

Yes, in most cases. Other meltable compositions can be atomized after parameter development. Name your alloy in a note to us, and we will arrange a trial atomization of your own material.

Which ATO model should I look at?

The ATO Lab for R&D on reactive, refractory and standard alloys; the ATO Sparq with AI-assisted process control; the ATO Noble for gold, silver, platinum and other precious metals; and the Induction Melting System for crucible melting of scrap and lower-melting-point alloys.

Can I see an ATO running?

Yes. An ATO Lab runs at UC Irvine in California. Book your visit on our visit page.
