What is Mold Generator used for?
Mold Generator is design software for Freeform Injection Molding (FIM). It turns your part geometry into a printable injection mold that you print in xMOLD soluble resin, inject, then dissolve away — enabling low-volume injection molding without hard tooling.
What is FIM and what resin does it use?
Freeform Injection Molding uses a 3D-printed dissolvable mold in Nexa3D xMOLD resin instead of machined tooling. You print the mold, injection-mold your production material into it, then dissolve the mold to release the part — ideal for prototypes and short runs in real production polymers.
