Open House: Advanced 3D Printing Technologies In Action

Additive Plus invites you to an Open House event on either July 29 or 30, 2025, spotlighting Microtrac particle characterization and additive manufacturing technologies. Hosted at our Gardena, CA facility, the identical one-day program runs twice, so you can choose the date that fits your schedule.

Each day features:

  • Hands-on demos of Microtrac particle characterization and 3D printing technologies
  • Technical presentations covering real-world applications
  • Networking with application specialists and field experts

The content is the same on both days. Select whichever date works best for you.

Experience live demonstrations of Microtrac’s SYNC, BEL, CAMSIZER, DLS + Zeta, and Turbiscan systems. We will also showcase the ATO Lab Plus and the AO Metal 3D printer, giving you a full look at our R&D Instrumentation Bundle. If you work with metal powders for laser powder bed fusion, this is a direct way to see how atomization and characterization fit together in one workflow.

Whether you are a materials scientist, a QA professional, or an engineer in additive manufacturing, this event is designed to help you improve your lab’s precision, speed, and process control.

Lunch is provided, and registration is free. Secure your seat while spots remain.

Daily agenda — Microtrac Product Spotlight

Time Session
9:30 AM Welcome & Introductions. Kick off the day with a welcome from the Additive Plus team and an overview of Microtrac’s solutions for particle and materials analysis.
10:00 AM Technical Presentation: “Laser Diffraction Technology and Applications” — Cathy Yang, Additive Plus. Explore the Microtrac SYNC system’s hybrid capabilities, combining laser diffraction and dynamic image analysis for wet and dry samples from 10 nm to 2 mm.
10:45 AM Technical Presentation: “Unlocking the Power of the R&D Instrumentation Bundle” — Ashkhen Ovsepyan, Additive Plus. Learn how the ATO Lab Plus, CAMSIZER, and AO Metal 3D printer work together as a versatile R&D bundle for labs focused on additive manufacturing, materials testing, and process development.
11:15 AM Technical Presentation: “Analyzing Porosity, Density, and Catalytic Activity of Materials” — Sai Krishna Katla, Ph.D. Gain insight into BEL’s instrumentation for pore structure, surface area, and catalyst behavior, which is critical for industrial R&D and materials science applications.
12:00 PM Networking Lunch provided.
1:00 PM Live Instrument Demonstrations. Explore hands-on demos with SYNC (laser diffraction and image analysis), BEL instruments (gas sorption, pycnometry, catalysis), and DLS + Zeta (size and charge measurement).
2:00 PM Technical Presentation: “Advancing Nanoparticle Characterization: Accurate Size and Charge Measurement at High Concentration” — Prashun Roy, Ph.D., Microtrac. See how the Flex and Stabino systems provide high-resolution analysis of zeta potential and particle size at high concentrations, suited to battery research, pharmaceuticals, and coatings.
3:00 PM Live Instrument Demonstrations Continue. CAMSIZER (granular particle analysis) and Turbiscan (stability and dispersion testing).

Exclusive raffle for attendees

Every customer who attends the Open House is entered into a raffle to win a free one-month loan of a Zeta Potential Analyzer. It is a direct way to test Microtrac’s zeta potential technology in your own lab environment.

We will randomly select five participants to receive this complimentary loan and evaluate high-precision particle analysis at no cost.

Event highlights

  • Live demonstrations of 6+ Microtrac instruments
  • Technical presentations with real-world applications
  • Introduction of the R&D Instrumentation Bundle
  • Lunch and expert Q&A opportunities
  • In-person networking with application specialists
  • Exclusive raffle for attendees
