About this product

KeySplint Soft is a flexible, FDA-cleared occlusal-splint resin for printing resilient nightguards, bite planes, and repositioners on the Nexa3D XiP desktop printer. An occlusal splint printed in KeySplint Soft — clear and flexible after post-cure.

Why dental labs choose KeySplint Soft

A resilient occlusal material validated for the appliances your lab prints every week.

Comfort under clenching load

A resilient, flexible finish (110% elongation at break, Shore D 80) absorbs bite force, so nightguards seat comfortably and resist cracking in service.

Cleared for the mouth

FDA 510(k)-cleared, Health Canada listed and CE-marked (Class IIa). ISO 10993 cytotoxicity, irritation and sensitization all pass; free monomer <2.2%.

Fast to finish

Polishes to a clear, glossy surface and is easily cleaned. Low water sorption (<18 μg/mm³) and solubility (<4.8 μg/mm³) keep appliances stable in the mouth.

Two clinical shades

Choose Light Violet or Translucent to match your lab workflow and patient preference — the same validated print and cure profile applies to both.

From file to finished splint

Validated print and cure profiles ship with the resin — no parameter guesswork.

Step 01
Print on XiP

Run KeySplint Soft on your Nexa3D XiP (LSPc, 385–405 nm) using the resin’s validated exposure profile for repeatable arches.

Step 02
Wash

Wash printed appliances in IPA, then air-dry. Inspect for full clearance around occlusal contacts before curing.

Step 03
Post-cure & polish

Final-cure under a 250–390 nm unit to full biocompatibility, then trim and polish to a clear, patient-ready finish.

Which printer is KeySplint Soft for XiP compatible with?
KeySplint Soft for XiP is formulated for the Nexa3D XiP desktop printer (LSPc, 385–405 nm) and prints with Nexa3D's validated XiP exposure profile. This 1 kg bottle is the XiP version; a separate NX/NXE-tuned bottle is available for NXE-series printers. If you're unsure which version matches your machine, our dental materials engineer will confirm before you order.
Is KeySplint Soft biocompatible and FDA-cleared?
Yes. KeySplint Soft is an FDA 510(k)-cleared Class IIa medical device, Health Canada listed and CE-marked. It passes ISO 10993 cytotoxicity, irritation and sensitization testing, with free-monomer extraction below 2.2%. Correct wash and post-cure are required to reach full biocompatibility — follow the Keystone protocol supplied with the resin.
What appliances can I make with KeySplint Soft?
KeySplint Soft is indicated for flexible orthodontic and dental appliances: nightguards, bite planes, occlusal splints, mouthguards, snoring appliances and repositioners. Its resilient finish (110% elongation, Shore D 80) suits bruxism protection where the patient needs a comfortable, shock-absorbing device rather than a rigid one.
What colors does KeySplint Soft come in?
KeySplint Soft is available in Light Violet and Translucent. Both shades share the same validated print and post-cure profile and the same mechanical and biocompatibility properties — the choice is cosmetic and workflow preference. Select your shade at checkout.
How do I wash and post-cure KeySplint Soft?
After printing on your Nexa3D XiP, wash the appliance in IPA and air-dry, then final-cure in a post-cure unit using 250–390 nm UV. Proper post-cure develops full mechanical strength and biocompatibility, so follow the Keystone KeySplint Soft time and temperature guidance rather than under-curing to save time.
How should I store the resin and what is its shelf life?
Store KeySplint Soft in its original sealed bottle away from light and heat, at room temperature, and re-seal after each pour to prevent premature curing. Refer to the bottle label and Keystone data sheet for the exact expiration date; we rotate stock so you receive bottles with usable shelf life.
Can I order a trial bottle or volume/PO pricing?
Yes. Order a single 1 kg bottle to qualify KeySplint Soft in your workflow, and a 5 kg option is available for higher-volume labs. For multi-bottle standing orders or an official purchase order, use the volume-quote button and our team will set up pricing and lot supply for your lab or DSO group.
