The QATM QEYE 800 is a compact optical analyzer and inverse macroscope for fast, standard-compliant weld-seam inspection and macro analysis. An 8.5-megapixel 4K camera with 20× optical and 35× combined zoom, a wide 80×60 mm to 2.3×1.7 mm field of view, and Intelligent Area Illumination let you measure lengths, angles and areas on a specimen in seconds — driven by Qpix Control2, the same software as QATM hardness testers.

Autofocus and brightness are automatic, and the focus plane can be adjusted manually for non-planar parts.
What is Intelligent Area Illumination?
Intelligent Area Illumination (IAI) is the QEYE's LED lighting system with four profiles — left, right, front and rear — that can be switched on or off individually and smoothly. This lets you light the specimen to suppress grinding reflections and stray light, which makes weld and macro measurements faster, more precise and more repeatable between operators.
Can it share software with a hardness tester?
Yes. The QEYE 800 runs on Qpix Control2, the same software as QATM hardness testers, so hardness testing and optical macro analysis run on one PC with a uniform reporting system, live image and 3D SmartView. If you already run a QATM hardness tester, the QEYE integrates into the same workflow rather than adding a separate software island.
What is included with the QEYE 800?
Every QEYE 800 ships with the shielding cover that eliminates stray light, and a 50 mm object micrometer (0.1 mm resolution) for verifying optical magnification. Borosilicate glass sample carriers with an anti-reflective coating are available in sets of five, optionally in tempered glass, and a UKAS-certified micrometer is available as an option. Additive Plus configures the templates and calibration for your work before delivery.
