Built for abrasive materials
Ruby tip, brass body
The 0.8 mm orifice is synthetic ruby — hard enough for carbon fiber, glass fiber, steel-fill, and even boron carbide — set in a brass body that conducts heat for high throughput. One nozzle handles both standard and abrasive filaments.

Compatibility & Specifications
The 3DVerkstan Olsson Ruby is a 0.8 mm hardened nozzle for 1.75 mm filament, with a synthetic-ruby orifice set in a brass body. The ruby tip resists abrasion from filled and composite filaments, while the brass body keeps heat conductivity — and throughput — high. It uses the standard M6 nozzle thread, so it fits hotends built around the E3D V6 / Olsson geometry, including the Ultimaker 2 / 2+ (via the Olsson block) and V6-based printers. The 0.8 mm orifice suits faster printing and higher extrusion flow.
Built for Abrasive Materials
The ruby orifice was originally developed for printing boron carbide (B4C), one of the hardest known materials. In practice it prints PLA, ABS, CPE/PET and nylon, plus abrasive composites filled with carbon fiber, glass fiber, steel, wood, tungsten, and phosphorescent pigment — where a standard brass nozzle would wear open in hours. One nozzle covers both standard and abrasive jobs.
