KeyTray is a strong, biocompatible (Class I) 3D printing resin for producing custom individual impression trays quickly and precisely. It is stiff enough to survive seating and removal from the oral cavity without distorting the impression, and it works with every common impression material. Supplied in a 1 kg bottle for Nexa3D LSPc printers.

Border-mold & impress

Add compound wax or border-molding material as usual, then take the final impression — the tray holds shape through seating and removal.

Is KeyTray biocompatible?
Yes — KeyTray is a Class I biocompatible resin, formulated for safe short-term contact in the oral cavity while taking an impression. Full biocompatibility depends on correct washing and post-curing, so follow the Keystone protocol supplied with the resin before the tray goes near a patient.

Do I still need a preliminary cast?
No. The tray is designed and printed directly from the intra-oral or model scan, so you skip pouring a preliminary model purely to thermoform or hand-build a tray. That removes a full lab step and typically improves impression accuracy because the tray is built to the actual arch.
How do I wash and post-cure KeyTray?
After printing, wash the tray in IPA and air-dry, then final-cure in a post-cure unit using 250–390 nm UV. Full post-cure is what develops the strength the tray needs to survive removal from an undercut, so follow the Keystone KeyTray time and temperature guidance rather than under-curing.
