Nexa3D xCLEAN is a washing solvent for rinsing uncured resin off SLA and LSPc 3D-printed parts before curing. It holds around 3× the dissolved resin of IPA and has a higher flash point — so a bath lasts longer, handles more safely, and leaves no greasy residue.

A higher flash point makes xCLEAN safer to handle and store than an IPA wash bath, and it does not need the special storage IPA requires. Handle per its SDS with the usual PPE.

How to wash with xCLEAN
Submerge, water-rinse, dry — then cure.
Step 01
Submerge & agitate
Wash parts in xCLEAN for about 5–10 minutes with gentle agitation, ideally in a two-bath setup (used first bath, fresh second bath).
Step 02
Rinse in water
xCLEAN is a solvent and must be removed — finish with a clean-water rinse to take off residual cleaner and dissolved resin.
Step 03
Dry, then cure
Dry the parts — about 6 hours air-drying or 20 minutes at 60 °C — before UV curing, so the cure starts on a clean, dry surface.

What is xCLEAN and what does it do?
Nexa3D xCLEAN is a washing solvent that rinses uncured resin off SLA and LSPc 3D-printed parts before curing. Parts are submerged with gentle agitation to dissolve the surface resin, then rinsed in clean water and dried. It is engineered from smaller molecules than TPM or DPM, so it cleans thoroughly without leaving a greasy residue.
How much better is its capacity than IPA?
xCLEAN holds far more dissolved resin than isopropanol — up to about 8% saturation versus roughly 1% for IPA, around 3× the capacity. In practice the bath cleans many more parts between changeouts, so you buy and dispose of less solvent over time. It also has a higher flash point than IPA, making it safer to handle and store.
Which printers and resins is it compatible with?
xCLEAN is designed to work with most photopolymer 3D printers and resin systems on the market, including Nexa3D LSPc and NXE resin parts, and it integrates with the Nexa3D Wash+Cure and xCURE post-processing stations. An Additive Plus materials engineer can confirm the wash settings for your specific resin.
Do I need to rinse after using xCLEAN?
Yes. xCLEAN is a solvent and must be removed from the part after the wash. Submerge parts for about 5–10 minutes with gentle agitation (a two-bath setup is best), then finish with a clean-water rinse. Dry fully — roughly 6 hours air-drying, or about 20 minutes at 60 °C in a dryer — before UV curing.
Can I use it on biocompatible resins?
No. xCLEAN is not cleared for cleaning parts printed from biocompatible resins. For biocompatible or medical/dental resins, follow the resin manufacturer’s validated cleaning agent and workflow. Additive Plus can advise on the right cleaner for those materials.
How do I dispose of used solution, and how long does a bath last?
Replace the bath as it approaches about 8% resin saturation. Spent xCLEAN is easily recyclable with vacuum-assisted solvent distillation, which recovers clean solvent and minimizes waste. Handle and dispose of it per the SDS and your local regulations.
What sizes does it come in and how fast does it ship?
