Built for a heated wash bath

Cleaner T is specially formulated to avoid generating peroxides at elevated processing temperatures, so you can run the wash bath up to 80 °C to clean demanding, high-temperature resins that a room-temperature solvent struggles with. Its flash point above 93 °C keeps a hot bath in the safe range.

A materials engineer on the line

Why demanding resins need Cleaner T

A heated wash that stays safe — and cleans what a cold bath can’t.

Runs hot to 80 °C, no peroxides

Cleaner T is formulated to avoid generating peroxides at elevated temperatures, so you can heat the wash bath to 80 °C to clean demanding resins that a room-temperature solvent leaves tacky. A flash point above 93 °C keeps the hot bath in the safe range.

For high-temp & FST resins

Recommended for high-HDT and flame-retardant materials — specifically the Loctite 3D 3955 HDT280 FST resin — where a heated wash is part of the validated workflow. The specialty cleaner for the hardest-to-clean parts.

Low viscosity reaches detail

At 4–6 cP, Cleaner T flows into fine channels and detailed geometry to lift uncured resin from the places thicker solvents miss — cleaning demanding parts thoroughly before cure.

Water-rinseable, clean cure

After the hot bath, a short water rinse removes residual cleaner and dissolved resin, leaving a clean surface so the UV cure is not inhibited. Shake before use for a consistent wash.

How to wash with Cleaner T

Heat, immerse, rinse and dry — then cure.

Step 01
Heat & immerse

Shake before use. Wash parts in Cleaner T at 20–80 °C for about 2–4 minutes with agitation, ideally in a two-bath setup.

Step 02
Rinse in water

Rinse in clean DI water for 1–2 minutes with agitation to remove residual cleaner and dissolved resin from the part.

Step 03
Dry, then cure

Dry the parts — typically about 60 minutes at 20–25 °C — before UV post-curing, so the cure starts clean and dry.

Our FST parts never cleaned up right in a cold bath. Cleaner T at 70 °C finally gave us a clean surface before cure, with no peroxide worries.

For high-HDT engineering resins the hot bath is essential. Low viscosity means it gets into the detail, and it rinses off in water.

We keep both C and T on the bench and pick by resin. T is the one that made the demanding materials repeatable.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

What is Loctite 3D Cleaner T for?
Loctite 3D Cleaner T is a cleaning liquid for removing uncured resin from SLA/DLP 3D-printed parts, designed to run in a heated wash bath up to 80 °C. It is specially formulated to avoid generating peroxides at those temperatures, which makes it the right choice for demanding, high-temperature resins — including the Loctite 3D 3955 HDT280 FST flame-retardant material.
Why heat the wash bath, and why not use Cleaner C?
Some high-temperature and FST resins clean far better in a warm-to-hot bath. Ordinary solvents can form peroxides when heated, which is a safety and quality risk. Cleaner T is formulated to avoid that and runs safely up to 80 °C. For standard resins at ambient-to-warm temperatures, Loctite 3D Cleaner C (up to 50 °C) is the simpler choice — the two are alternatives selected by temperature and resin.
Which resins is Cleaner T recommended for?
Cleaner T is recommended for cleaning DLP resin parts that need a heated bath, and specifically for the Loctite 3D 3955 HDT280 FST high-HDT, flame-retardant material. If your validated workflow calls for a warm or hot wash, or you run demanding engineering resins, Cleaner T is the match. An Additive Plus engineer can confirm per-resin wash times.
How do I use it?
Shake before use. Wash parts in Cleaner T at 20–80 °C, immersing for roughly 2–4 minutes with agitation (a two-bath setup is best), then rinse in clean DI water for 1–2 minutes with agitation. Dry the parts — typically about 60 minutes at 20–25 °C — before UV post-curing. Follow the resin TDS for exact times.
Is it flammable?
Cleaner T has a flash point above 93 °C (200 °F), higher than Cleaner C and far above IPA, which is what allows a heated bath. It carries a GHS "Warning" classification and should be handled per its SDS with the appropriate PPE, but its high flash point removes the fire risk of an IPA wash.
Does it need a water rinse?
Yes. After the Cleaner T bath, rinse parts in clean DI water for 1–2 minutes with agitation (some resin TDS also allow a short IPA rinse) and dry fully before UV curing. Rinsing removes residual cleaner and dissolved resin so the cured surface is clean and the cure is not inhibited.
What size does it come in and how fast does it ship?
Loctite 3D Cleaner T is supplied in an 18 kg (39.7 lb) container (Henkel IDH 2755276) and ships in 1–2 business days from US inventory through Additive Plus. Need multiple containers or an official purchase order for a production lab? Request volume pricing.
