What your dental lab actually checks

Accuracy that survives thermoforming

93% of measured points land within 100 µm deviation, and a 2366 MPa modulus with Shore 80 D hardness keeps models rigid under vacuum and pressure forming. Every lot is traceable, so a validated aligner workflow reprints to the same dimensions.

About this product

xDENT201-Gray is Nexa3D’s high-resolution matte-gray model resin for LSPc printers — 93% dimensional accuracy at 100 µm deviation, and a full plate of up to 10 flat orthodontic models in roughly a 20-minute build. It is the volume workhorse for aligner and retainer model production.

Nexa3D xDENT201-Gray — 1.5 kg cartridge for the XiP LSPc printer.

Why orthodontic labs choose xDENT201

Built for high-volume model production, not one-off showpieces.

Throughput for aligner labs

Up to 10 flat models in about a 20-minute build. LSPc cures a full layer at once, so filling the plate costs almost no extra time.

Accuracy you can verify

93% of measured points fall within 100 µm deviation, with dimensional stability that holds through thermoforming and storage.

Matte gray reads clearly

A non-reflective surface makes margins and fine anatomy visible for inspection and scanning — no glare fighting your QC step.

Stiff enough to thermoform

55 MPa tensile strength, 2366 MPa modulus and Shore 80 D keep models rigid under vacuum and pressure forming.

How we supply xDENT201

Lot-matched resin, a validated dental profile and a repeatable finish.

Step 01
Lot-matched supply

Cartridges ship from US stock with batch traceability, so a validated model workflow reprints to the same dimensions.

Step 02
Print on LSPc

Load the Nexa3D-validated xDENT201 profile in NexaX and print on XiP, XiP Pro or NXD 200Pro — no settings to develop.

Step 03
Wash & cure

Two 2-minute washes in IPA or xClean, then UV post-cure. Models reach full hardness and dimensional stability after curing.

Compatibility & intended use

  • Printers: Nexa3D XiP and XiP Pro desktop LSPc systems and the NXD 200Pro dental platform, using the validated xDENT201 profile in NexaX.
  • Intended use: dental and orthodontic models — aligner and retainer models, study models, scale models. It is a model resin and is not intended for direct patient contact or as a definitive restorative material.
  • Post-processing: wash in IPA or xClean, then UV cure with a Nexa3D wash-and-cure station or equivalent.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

Which printers is xDENT201-Gray compatible with?
xDENT201-Gray runs on Nexa3D LSPc systems — the XiP and XiP Pro desktops and the NXD 200Pro dental platform — using the validated xDENT201 profile in NexaX. This 1.5 kg cartridge is packaged for the XiP. Load the profile, print, then wash and cure; no parameter development is needed to reach the stated accuracy.
How accurate are models printed in xDENT201?
Nexa3D states 93% dimensional accuracy at 100 µm deviation for xDENT201, measured across the model surface. For orthodontic and study models that is comfortably inside the tolerance most aligner and retainer workflows are validated to. If your process needs tighter margins — removable dies, crowns or bridges — xDENT341-Beige holds 93% at 50 µm instead.
How many models can I print per build?
A full plate of up to 10 flat orthodontic models prints in roughly 20 minutes on the XiP with xDENT201. Because LSPc cures an entire layer at once, build time tracks part height rather than how many models sit on the plate, so filling the platform costs almost no extra time and is the cheapest way to raise lab throughput.
Is xDENT201 suitable for thermoforming aligners?
Yes — that is its main use. With 55 MPa tensile strength, a 2366 MPa modulus and Shore 80 D hardness, xDENT201 models stay rigid under vacuum and pressure forming instead of slumping. Post-cure fully before forming; models that are still green will distort and cost you dimensional accuracy.
What is the difference between xDENT201-Gray and xDENT341-Beige?
xDENT201-Gray is the fast, high-volume model resin: 93% accuracy at 100 µm, matte gray, tuned for orthodontic and aligner model throughput. xDENT341-Beige is the precision grade: 93% accuracy at 50 µm in a traditional beige tone, built for removable die models with precise margins and contacts for crowns and bridges. Choose by indication, not by color.
Is xDENT201 biocompatible or cleared for patient contact?
xDENT201 is a model resin. It is intended for orthodontic, study and records models — including models used to thermoform appliances — and not for direct patient contact or as a definitive restorative material. We do not claim any clearance for it. If your indication needs a patient-contact or medical-grade material, ask us and we will point you to the right Nexa3D resin and its documentation.
What post-processing and storage does xDENT201 need?
Wash printed models twice for two minutes each in IPA or Nexa3D xClean, then UV post-cure in a Nexa3D wash-and-cure station or equivalent. Keep the cartridge sealed, away from direct light and heat, at room temperature, and handle uncured resin with gloves in a ventilated area. Mix gently before use if it has been standing.
