KS608A is a tough, heat- and moisture-resistant UV SLA resin for accurate, durable parts. It carries the accuracy and convenience of the standard KS408A resin but is significantly stronger and holds higher temperatures — with a light-yellow, ABS-like finish. It runs on laser-based (405 nm) SLA systems — desktop or large-format — and is built for functional prototypes, concept models, low-volume production, and vacuum-casting master patterns across automotive, aerospace, architecture, and consumer-electronics work. What post-processing does KS608A require?
Wash printed parts (typically in IPA) to remove uncured resin, then UV post-cure. Full mechanical properties are reached after post-cure, and density rises to 1.14–1.16 g/cm³. KS608A needs minimal part finishing and machines cleanly, so it is fast to bring to a finished surface.
Can KS608A be used as a vacuum-casting master pattern?
Yes. KS608A is machinable, dimensionally stable, and has an ABS-like finish, which makes it a proven master pattern for vacuum casting. Its improved dimension retention in humid conditions helps masters hold tolerance through the silicone-molding process.
What accuracy and layer thickness can I expect?
KS608A has a penetration depth (Dp) of 0.135–0.155 mm and critical exposure (Ec) of 9–12 mJ/cm², and supports build layer thicknesses of 0.05–0.15 mm. Combined with low shrinkage and strong dimensional stability, it holds tight tolerances for fit checks and functional prototypes.
What is the shelf life and how should KS608A be stored?
KS608A has a long shelf life, including in the machine vat. Store it sealed and away from direct light and UV, in a cool, stable environment — the same handling as other photopolymer SLA resins. Stir or gently agitate before use if it has been standing.
