What your materials team actually checks
Strength-to-weight & biocompatible
Ti-6Al-4V delivers high strength at roughly 55% the weight of steel with excellent corrosion resistance and biocompatibility — the alloy for aerospace structures and medical implants. Grade 23 (ELI) available for implantable parts. EIGA-atomized, full COA per lot.
A materials engineer on the line
Qualification question? We've run these alloys in production on AO Metal — parameter sets available. Sub-4h reply, NDA standard. Use the Talk to materials engineer button above.
A-Powder Ti-6Al-4V is an EIGA-atomized alpha-beta titanium alloy for laser powder bed fusion (LPBF): high strength at roughly 55% the weight of steel, excellent corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. Available as Grade 5 (TC4) and Grade 23 (ELI) for medical. US-produced, lot-certified for production.
Why engineers choose A-Powder Ti-6Al-4V
Four things a materials team verifies before qualifying a powder.
Best-in-class strength-to-weight
High strength at roughly 55% the weight of steel — the aerospace and motorsport structural alloy.
Corrosion & biocompatible
Outstanding corrosion resistance and biocompatibility — Grade 23 (ELI) for implantable medical parts.
Two grades, lot-certified
Grade 5 (TC4) for industrial, Grade 23 (ELI) for medical — full COA per lot for AS9100 and ISO 13485 workflows.
US-produced, fast dispatch
Made in the USA and shipped from Los Angeles in 5–10 business days. Need a tighter cut or an official purchase request? Just ask.
How we supply it
Every lot ships as a verified process, not a bag of powder — melted, atomized, tested, certified.
Melted & atomized
US EIGA (electrode induction gas atomization) for clean, spherical, low-oxygen titanium powder.
Tested & certified
Every lot checked for PSD, chemistry, oxygen, apparent density and flow — full COA with a traceable lot number.
Dispatched from LA
Bottled under argon and shipped from Los Angeles in 5–10 business days.

Chemical composition
| Element | Content | Element | Content |
|---|---|---|---|
| Titanium (Ti) | Balance | Oxygen (O) | ≤ 0.20% (ELI ≤ 0.13%) |
| Aluminium (Al) | 5.5–6.75% | Iron (Fe) | ≤ 0.30% (ELI ≤ 0.25%) |

Heat treatment & processing
- Stress relief before plate removal is recommended to control distortion.
- Annealing / HIP improves ductility and closes residual porosity for fatigue-critical and implantable parts.
- Print under an inert (argon) atmosphere; oxygen pickup must be controlled to preserve properties.

From process engineers running A-Powder Ti-6Al-4V (Ti64) Titanium Powder for Metal 3D Printing | LPBF Compatible – 10 kg / 22 lbs
Unedited feedback from customers who reorder A-Powder Ti-6Al-4V (Ti64) Titanium Powder for Metal 3D Printing | LPBF Compatible – 10 kg / 22 lbs.
Same lot 4 times in a row. We stopped re-running parameter sweeps after the second order — density was identical to the first build.
Asked about ferrite content on a Friday. A materials engineer answered Monday morning with actual data, not a sales pitch. That's why we keep ordering.
COA matches the bottle. PSD and flow are exactly what was on the sheet — we run it on a Renishaw 500Q and it hits density on the first try.
