What the A50 is

The A50 is a floor-standing laser powder bed fusion printer with a Ø50 × 100 mm (2.0 × 3.9 in) build envelope — the step up from a coupon machine to real specimens and small production parts. A fiber laser melts metal powder directly into fully dense parts in one step, and with the optional 445 nm blue laser it takes on copper, gold and silver, which absorb blue light far better than infrared. The system is fully open: any metal powder you qualify, all process parameters in your hands, and the print programs our team has validated handed over with the machine.
