About this product

ALTANA Cubic Ink High Temperature 1901 VP is an easy-to-print DLP/LCD/mSLA resin with an HDT-B of 272 °C and strong chemical resistance — and, unusually for a high-temp resin, it stays tough instead of turning brittle.

Why engineers choose HT 1901 VP

Heat resistance that does not trade away toughness.

Heat that holds

HDT-B 272 °C and Tg > 300 °C. Parts keep their geometry against molten-material contact, high-pressure steam and sustained heat.

Tough, not brittle

4.8% elongation at break and 14 J/m notched Izod. Drill, grind and machine finished parts without shattering.

Superior chemical resistance

Under 0.5% mass gain across acids, bases, solvents and fuels after 24 h submersion — built for harsh service.

Clean regulatory profile

In-vitro cytotoxicity passed (ISO 10993-5/-12), low 0.4% water uptake, and 26 kV/mm dielectric strength for electrical parts.

How you run it

Print → wash → UV + thermal post-cure.

Step 01
Print

LCD / DLP / mSLA. Validated on Formlabs Form 4, Asiga Pro 4K, Prusa SL1S and Phrozen 8K. Uncolored or black.

Step 02
Wash

1–3 min in Cubic Ink Cleaner 400 or IPA, then dry. Ultrasonic bath optional.

Step 03
Post-cure

Intense UV at ≥80 °C, then thermal post-cure (up to 130–150 °C) for full HDT. Black needs extra cure to avoid cracking.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

What temperature can HT 1901 VP withstand?
It has a heat deflection temperature (HDT-B) of 272 °C and a glass transition temperature above 300 °C. Depending on post-cure, HDT can be pushed toward ~290 °C. It is designed for sustained high-heat tooling and molding.
Is it brittle like other high-temp resins?
No — that is the point of the material. It keeps 4.8% elongation at break and 14 J/m notched Izod, so parts can be drilled, ground and machined without shattering.
How does it compare to Loctite IND147 High Temp?
Both are high-temperature, tough resins suited to the same tooling and molding applications, with comparable HDT (272 vs 290 °C). Additive Plus stocks and supports both Cubic Ink HT 1901 ($193.80/kg) and Loctite IND147 ($260/kg), so you can compare and choose with guidance.
Is it safe for skin-contact or medical-adjacent parts?
The cured material passed in-vitro cytotoxicity testing (ISO 10993-5/-12) and has a favorable regulatory profile. The liquid resin must be handled with proper PPE until fully cured; an SDS ships with every order.
Which printers and colors are available?
Open LCD, DLP and mSLA systems, validated on Formlabs Form 4, Asiga Pro 4K, Prusa SL1S and Phrozen 8K. Available uncolored or black; note that black should not be printed above 50 µm layers.
How is it washed and cured?
Wash 1–3 minutes in Cubic Ink Cleaner 400 or IPA. Post-cure with intense UV at ≥80 °C, followed by a thermal post-cure up to 130–150 °C to reach full heat resistance.
