Description

PETG (Glycol-Modified Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a supremely versatile and reliable 3D printing filament. It perfectly balances ease of use with robust mechanical properties, making it a go-to choice for durable, functional parts. PETG is known for its excellent layer adhesion, good toughness, and resistance to water and chemicals.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Superior Toughness: Offers high impact resistance and durability, preventing parts from shattering under stress.

  • Excellent Chemical & Water Resistance: Ideal for parts exposed to moisture, oils, and various chemicals.

  • Strong Layer Adhesion: Creates exceptionally strong prints that are less likely to split at the layer lines.

  • Easy to Print: More forgiving than ABS, with minimal warping and no need for an enclosed chamber.

  • Good Thermal Properties: Higher heat resistance than PLA, suitable for a wider range of applications.

Recommended Print Settings

Parameter Recommended Value
Nozzle Temperature 230°C – 250°C
Build Plate Temperature 70°C – 80°C
Print Speed 40 – 100 mm/s
Cooling Fan OFF or Low (for best layer adhesion)
Nozzle Type Standard Brass Nozzle

Performance Highlights

  • Printability: Excellent – Easier than ABS, almost as easy as PLA.

  • Durability: High – Great impact resistance and toughness.

  • Heat Resistance: Good (64°C HDT)

  • Chemical Resistance: Good

Typical Applications

  • Functional Prototypes & End-Use Parts

  • Jigs, Fixtures & Tooling

  • Mechanical Parts & Enclosures

  • Consumer Product Housings

  • Containers and Parts for Outdoor Use

Storage & Handling

Store Creatbot PLA Filament in a cool, dry place inside its original sealed bag with desiccant. For long-term storage or in humid environments, use a dry box to prevent moisture absorption, which can lead to printing issues and reduced mechanical properties.
