What your process engineer actually checks
Locked, traceable lot chemistry
A COA on request documents PSD, sphericity, flow rate, apparent density, and full chemistry — and a lot number you can trace.
A materials engineer on the line
Questions on ferrite content, flowability, recyclate ratios, or HIP response? A materials engineer answers directly — not a contact-form bot. NDA standard.
CNPC Powder · Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 · LPBF metal powder
CNPC Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 — the standard grade of Ti64, the most-printed titanium alloy, for aerospace, motorsport and industrial parts. Sold by Additive Plus in 10 kg containers at a published price.
Made by CNPC Powder. Titanium alloy powder from CNPC Powder’s own atomization plant in Fengyang, China. CNPC is ISO 9001 certified, a member of MPIF and EPMA, and exports metal powders to more than 40 countries. Additive Plus sells and supports it in the US: you order and pay here, and our materials engineer answers your questions.
Powder at a glance
Why teams run it
Strength at low weight
Titanium’s high strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance, in the most-printed titanium alloy.
Grade 5 or Grade 23?
Grade 5 is the general-purpose Ti64 grade. For tighter oxygen and iron limits — higher ductility and fracture toughness — choose CNPC Ti-6Al-4V Grade 23 ELI.
Named manufacturer, COA on request
Shipped in sealed 10 kg containers with the lot’s certificate of analysis.
Published price, 10 kg packs
$136/kg in a 10 kg pack, ordered online — no account, no mill-size minimum. Larger quantities quoted on request.
What you can print

Representative examples of LPBF parts in this alloy family.
Where it’s used
- Aerospace brackets & fittings — lightweight structural parts.
- Airframe hardware — fasteners, clips and fittings.
- Motorsport & high-performance — light, strong, corrosion-resistant parts.
How LPBF printing works
1 · Load & printFill the dispenser and run your Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 parameter set — a laser melts each layer of powder under inert gas.
2 · Stress-relieve & removeStress-relieve on the plate, then cut parts off and remove supports.
3 · Heat-treat & finishApply the heat treatment your spec calls for, then machine, blast or polish. Sieve and reuse the unmelted powder.

Before you order
Titanium powder needs a titanium-ready machine.
Ti-6Al-4V is reactive: run it only on an LPBF system set up for titanium under argon, with the powder-handling, grounding and fire-safety practices your machine maker specifies. This powder is sold for research, prototyping and industrial use — it is not certified for implantable medical devices.
Made in China. If your program requires US- or allied-origin material (for example DFARS-compliant supply), ask our engineer before ordering.
Need more than a few containers?
For 50 kg and up, a different particle-size cut, or a grade we don’t list, write to us — we quote larger lots directly with CNPC.
FAQ
What is the minimum order?
One 10 kg container. For larger quantities, write to us for a volume quote.
When will it ship?
After you place your order we confirm availability and the ship date by email. If that date does not work for you, we cancel the order and refund it in full.
Grade 5 or Grade 23 ELI?
Grade 5 is the standard Ti64 grade. Grade 23 ELI has lower oxygen and iron limits for higher ductility and fracture toughness. If your drawing or specification names Grade 23, order Grade 23 ELI.
Which printers can run it?
Any open LPBF system with parameters for Ti-6Al-4V — for example EOS, SLM/Nikon SLM, Renishaw, Farsoon, and our own AO Metal printers. We share recommended starting parameters; you tune them on your machine.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes — on request: a certificate of analysis (COA) for the lot, with its chemistry and particle-size data.
Who makes this powder?
CNPC Powder, a metal-powder manufacturer with its own atomization plant in Fengyang, China. Additive Plus sells and supports it in the US.
