Description

CreatBot PLA-CF (Carbon Fiber PLA) filament is an advanced, carbon fiber-reinforced 3D printing filament engineered for high performance. It combines the ease of printing of standard PLA with significantly enhanced rigidity, thermal stability, and dimensional accuracy. This material is perfect for applications demanding a stiff, lightweight, and professional-grade solution.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Exceptional Stiffness: With a flexural modulus of 6320 MPa, it produces parts that are highly rigid and resistant to bending under load.

  • Improved Heat Resistance: A Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of 91°C allows creations to withstand higher temperatures without deforming.

  • Superior Dimensional Stability: The carbon fiber filler minimizes warping and shrinkage, ensuring precise, accurate parts every time.

  • Enhanced Surface Quality: Yields a smooth, matte finish with a professional look and minimal visible layer lines.

  • Lightweight & Strong: Maintains a great strength-to-weight ratio, ideal for functional components.

Recommended Print Settings

Parameter Recommended Value
Nozzle Temperature 200°C – 220°C
Build Plate Temperature 40°C – 60°C
Print Speed 30 – 80 mm/s
Cooling Fan 100% ON
Nozzle Type Hardened Steel Nozzle (Required)

Important: A hardened steel nozzle is mandatory to prevent abrasive wear from the carbon fiber particles.

Performance Highlights

  • Printability: Good, but requires a hardened nozzle. Less prone to warping than many engineering materials.

  • Heat Resistance: High (91°C HDT)

  • Rigidity: Very High (6320 MPa Flexural Modulus)

  • Dimensional Stability: Excellent

Typical Applications

  • Functional Prototypes: Rigid and durable parts for testing and validation.

  • Jigs & Fixtures: Lightweight, custom tools for manufacturing and assembly.

  • Industrial Components: Brackets, housings, and mounts that require high stiffness.

  • Molds & Tooling: Patterns and molds for various manufacturing processes.

Storage & Handling

Store Creatbot PLA Filament in a cool, dry place inside its original sealed bag with desiccant. For long-term storage or in humid environments, use a dry box to prevent moisture absorption, which can lead to printing issues and reduced mechanical properties.
