About this product

The Oryx SCAWaterjet is an enclosed spray booth that removes support material from 3D-printed parts with pressurized water. An operator directs two hand-held wands — high pressure for bulk, low pressure for detail — through glove ports, clearing support in minutes. No heat, no detergent, no soak time.

Oryx SCAWaterjet — enclosed pressurized-waterjet booth for fast, targeted support removal.

Why shops run the SCAWaterjet

Hands-on, targeted support removal in minutes — water only.

Dual-pressure waterjet

Two wands — high pressure up to 1700 psi for bulk removal, low pressure for fine detail — let an operator strip support in minutes instead of hours, with direct control over how aggressive the jet is.

Precise, operator-controlled

Glove ports let you hold and rotate the part while spraying, so you reach internal channels and clear support off fragile features with the low-pressure wand — control a soak bath cannot give you.

No heat, no detergent, no plumbing

Runs at ambient temperature on water alone — nothing to warm up, mix or vent. Use the included mobile water tank stand-alone, or direct-plumb it; consumption is under 1.5 gal/min.

Enclosed and office-friendly

A floor-standing cabinet on casters with an LED-lit gasketed window and an internal wiper keeps the work visible while spray stays contained. US-built, CE / cTÜVus certified.

How the SCAWaterjet works

Load, blast, done — in minutes.

Step 01
Place the part

Set the part inside the enclosed booth (up to 19.5 × 15.5 × 8 in) and reach in through the glove ports.

Step 02
Blast the support

Use the high-pressure wand for bulk removal, then switch to the low-pressure wand to clear support off fine or fragile features.

Step 03
Remove and go

Support is gone in minutes — no soak, no drying stage. Take the clean part out and move to the next one.

For one-off parts the waterjet is faster than a soak. High-pressure wand for the bulk, low-pressure for the detail — support gone in a couple of minutes.

No plumbing meant we set it up in the office on the mobile tank. Water only, so nothing to permit or vent.

The low-pressure wand lets me clear support off fragile features without breaking them. Real hands-on control.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

What does the SCAWaterjet do?
The Oryx SCAWaterjet is an enclosed spray booth that removes support material from 3D-printed parts with pressurized water. An operator directs two hand-held wands through glove ports — one high-pressure for bulk removal, one low-pressure for fine detail — clearing support in minutes. It is a fast, hands-on, targeted alternative to a soak-and-dissolve bath.
How is it different from the SCA bath stations?
The SCA1200HT and SCA3600 are heated dissolution baths: you soak parts and the detergent dissolves soluble support unattended. The SCAWaterjet is the opposite approach — an operator blasts support off manually with pressurized water in minutes, with no heat and no detergent. Use the booth for fast, targeted, delicate work; use the baths for hands-off batch dissolution.
Which materials and supports is it for?
The SCAWaterjet removes soluble-support (SST) material from FDM/FFF parts in ABS, ASA, PC and nylon, and is suited to support removal across various AM processes. Because it uses only water, there is no solvent or caustic handling. An Additive Plus engineer can confirm fit for your material and support type.
What pressure does it use, and is it safe for delicate parts?
The SCAWaterjet runs up to 1700 psi (117 bar) with high- and low-pressure wands. Use high pressure to knock off bulk support and switch to the low-pressure wand for intricate or fragile features, giving you direct control over how aggressive the jet is on each part. Glove ports let you handle and rotate the part while spraying.
Does it need plumbing?
No — the SCAWaterjet can run stand-alone from an included mobile water tank, or be direct-plumbed if you prefer. Water consumption is under 1.5 gal/min (5.7 L/min). That makes it office- and shop-friendly, with no fixed water hookup required to get started.
Does it heat the water?
No. The SCAWaterjet works at ambient temperature, with an operating range of 41–104 °F (5–40 °C). Support removal comes from jet pressure and operator control, not heat or chemistry — so there is no warm-up, no detergent and no solvent.
What are the size and power requirements?
The booth measures 30.0 × 29.5 × 71.5 in (76.0 × 75.0 × 181.6 cm) — a floor-standing enclosed cabinet on casters — and accepts models up to 19.5 × 15.5 × 8 in (49.5 × 39.4 × 20.3 cm). It runs on 120 V~ 60 Hz 15 A or 230 V~ 50 Hz 8 A. An LED-lit gasketed window with an internal wiper keeps the work visible while spray stays contained.
What is the lead time and warranty?
The SCAWaterjet is US-built and ships from Additive Plus with a 1-year warranty; lead time is confirmed at quote. Every booth includes operator guidance and setup, with support and spares through a single US point of contact. Request a quote for pricing and availability.
