About this product

The Carbolite Gero HTCR is a high-temperature clean room oven combining low-particulate clean-room construction with maximum temperatures of 400, 500 or 600°C, in five chamber sizes from 28 to 1,000 litres (sixteen standard models). Fully sealed low-thermal-mass insulation avoids shedding fibres, a fully enclosed brushless fan motor keeps the airstream clean, and a particle-free silicone door seal with a polished sealed stainless interior contains the chamber. Double-skin construction keeps the outer case safe to touch, over-temperature protection is standard, and ISO 14644 Class 5 models are optionally available for the most demanding cleanliness requirements.

Why engineers choose the HTCR

Clean-room construction that also runs hot — figures below are from the Carbolite Gero datasheet.

Clean, low-shedding at high heat

Fully sealed low-thermal-mass insulation, an enclosed brushless fan motor and a particle-free silicone seal keep the load clean — now at 400, 500 or 600°C, not just 250°C.

Five sizes, 28–1000 L

Sixteen standard models span 28, 95, 220, 510 and 1,000 L across three temperature grades — from a bench chamber to a floor-standing production unit.

ISO 14644 Class 5 option

Class 5 clean-room-rated models are optionally available where your process demands a formally classified environment.

Safe-touch build, over-temp standard

Double-skin construction keeps the outer case at a safe temperature, over-temperature protection is fitted as standard, and a 301 controller with door switch runs the cycle.

How Additive Plus delivers it

Configured to order, installed and supported by engineers who run heat treatment in-house.

Step 01
Configure to your process

Pick temperature grade (400–600°C), chamber size (28–1000 L), ISO Class 5 rating and options — through-wall flange, access port, cable entries, floor stand.

Step 02
Install & support

US-based delivery and setup, operator guidance, and Carbolite Gero spares and service handled locally.

Step 03
Dial in your cycle

We help set clean high-temperature cure, bake-out or heat-treatment temperatures and times for the contamination-sensitive parts you process.

Temperature grades & chamber volumes

Model Max temp Available chamber volumes
HTCR4/x 400°C 28, 95, 220, 510, 1000 L
HTCR5/x 500°C 28, 95, 220, 510, 1000 L
HTCR6/x 600°C 28, 95, 220, 510, 1000 L

Minimum operating temperature is approximately ambient +60°C. Full per-model dimensions, shelf loading, heat-up times and power ratings are in the Specifications tab.

Not sure the HTCR is the right oven?

If you need lower temperature, a controlled inert atmosphere or non-clean high-temperature heat, a sibling Carbolite Gero oven may fit better.

Tell us your cleanliness class, part type and target temperature — and whether you need an ISO 14644 Class 5 build — and our applications engineer will confirm the right HTCR grade, size and options. Configurations are priced per specification.

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

What makes the HTCR a clean room oven, and how hot does it get?
The Carbolite Gero HTCR combines clean-room construction with high temperature. Fully sealed low-thermal-mass insulation avoids shedding fibres, a fully enclosed brushless fan motor keeps the airstream clean, and a particle-free silicone seal with a polished sealed stainless interior contains the chamber. It is available in three grades — 400, 500 and 600°C — so you get clean-room cleanliness at temperatures a standard 250°C clean room oven cannot reach.
What chamber sizes and models are available?
There are sixteen standard HTCR models across five chamber sizes — 28, 95, 220, 510 and 1,000 litres — in 400, 500 and 600°C grades. Smaller units are bench or cabinet scale; the 510 and 1,000 L models are floor-standing. Perforated stainless-steel shelves are standard. Our applications engineer will help match the grade and size to your parts, batch volume and cleanliness requirement.
Is the HTCR ISO 14644 clean-room rated?
ISO 14644 Class 5 models are optionally available on the HTCR for processes that require a formally classified clean environment. The standard build already uses low-shedding sealed insulation, an enclosed brushless fan and a particle-free seal to minimise particulates. If your quality system calls for a specific classification, specify the Class 5 option at time of order and we will configure it accordingly.
Is over-temperature protection included?
Yes. On the HTCR, over-temperature protection is fitted as standard, recommended for protecting valuable contents and for unattended operation — it isolates the heating if the setpoint is exceeded. Double-skin construction also keeps the outer case at a safe temperature, and a door switch is standard. Given the oven reaches up to 600°C, these safety features matter for high-value or long-duration cycles.
Can the HTCR be built into a cleanroom wall?
Yes. Through-wall (flange-fitted) designs are available so the HTCR can be mounted in a cleanroom partition, and fully bespoke designs are offered. Additional options include an access port for an independent thermocouple, cable entry ports, lockable door and fixed or castor-mounted floor stands. Tell us your facility layout and cleanliness class and we will configure the oven to suit.
What is the difference between the HTCR and the CR clean room oven?
Both share clean-room construction — low-shedding insulation, enclosed brushless fan and particle-free seal. The CR reaches 250°C, while the HTCR is built for higher temperatures of 400, 500 or 600°C and adds double-skin safe-touch construction, standard over-temperature protection and an optional ISO 14644 Class 5 rating. Choose the CR for lower-temperature clean drying and curing, and the HTCR when you need clean processing above 250°C.
What is the lead time and does Additive Plus install it?
The HTCR is configured to order, so lead time depends on the grade, size, clean-room rating and options chosen — request a current quote and we will confirm it. Additive Plus handles US-based delivery and setup, provides operator guidance, and coordinates Carbolite Gero spares, service and calibration locally. Because we run heat treatment in-house at AO Metal, we can advise on clean high-temperature cure and bake-out cycles for your parts.
