About this product

The Carbolite Gero PF is a range of fan-convection laboratory ovens in six chamber sizes from 28 to 910 litres. The four smaller models (PF 30–PF 200) reach 300°C; the two large-format models (PF 400, PF 800) reach 250°C. Forced-air convection delivers rapid heating, fast recovery and even temperature distribution (±5°C at 300°C), with a chemically resistant stainless-steel liner and airtight silicone seal. A broad options list — variable-speed fan, moisture extraction, stoving & curing for solvent removal, viewing window and floor stands — lets the PF be tailored to general lab work, drying, curing and additive feedstock conditioning.

What is the maximum temperature and which PF models reach 300°C?
The Carbolite Gero PF reaches 300°C on the four smaller models (PF 30, PF 60, PF 120 and PF 200) and 250°C on the two large-format models (PF 400 and PF 800). Temperature uniformity is ±5°C at 300°C, with fan convection giving rapid heat-up and fast recovery after the door is opened. Minimum operating temperature is roughly ambient +30°C. Programmable controllers are available if you need multi-segment ramps and soaks.
What chamber sizes does the PF range offer?
Six sizes span 28 to 910 litres: PF 30 (28 L), PF 60 (66 L), PF 120 (127 L), PF 200 (230 L), PF 400 (460 L) and PF 800 (910 L). The smaller units are bench-top; PF 400 and PF 800 are large-format and can be floor-mounted. All share the fan-convection design. Our applications engineer will help match the size to your batch volume and throughput.
Can the PF handle solvent removal or curing?
Yes. An optional stoving & curing package lets the PF safely extract small volumes of volatile solvents, which suits paint stoving, coating and adhesive cure. A separate moisture-extraction option with sealed seams and an air-exhaust fan handles wet loads. Note that the stoving & curing and viewing-window/interior-light options are mutually exclusive. We will confirm the right combination for your process at time of order.
Can the PF dry 3D printing feedstock?
Yes. The PF is well suited to drying and conditioning additive feedstock — removing moisture from filament, polymer powder and pellets before printing. The large PF 400 and PF 800 make batch drying practical for production. At up to 300°C it also handles low-temperature annealing of printed polymer parts and thermal curing. We can recommend drying temperatures and dwell times for your specific material.
What controller does the PF use and can I program cycles?
The PF 30–PF 200 use the R38 digital PID controller; PF 400 and PF 800 use the Carbolite Gero 301 controller with a single ramp to setpoint and process timer. For programmed multi-segment ramps, soaks, data logging and digital communications, a range of upgraded controllers and programmers can be specified at time of order. Additive Plus will help you choose the right one for your application.
Does the PF offer variable airflow and moisture extraction?
Yes. Variable-speed fan control is an option that lets you tune airflow to delicate or lightweight loads, and the moisture-extraction package (sealed seams plus air-exhaust fan) is designed for drying wet materials. Accessory shelves, heavy-duty reinforced bases, cable entry ports and lockable doors are also available. The PF is highly configurable — tell us the work and we will spec it.
What is the lead time and does Additive Plus install it?
The PF is configured to order, so lead time depends on the size and options chosen — request a current quote and we will confirm it.
