The Carbolite Gero TLD is a rapid-cooling oven purpose-built for annealing thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs) — the crystals used to measure exposure to ionising radiation. It reaches 400°C in a compact 3-litre chamber, and a CC-T1 programmable controller automatically activates a cooling blower at the end of the heating stage so samples cool down on a defined, repeatable schedule. Horizontal forced-air circulation from a rear-mounted fan gives even heating and cooling, a stainless-steel liner and mesh shelves hold the dosimeters, and the controlled anneal-and-cool cycle is what makes TLD readings reproducible batch after batch.
