ALTANA Cubic Ink HP 2-1400 VP-SLA – SLA Resin (Translucent Blue), 1 kg / 5 kg
The most accessible resin on our Cubic Ink shelf — $119 per kg ($111.80/kg in the 5 kg canister). High Performance 2-1400 VP-SLA is the material ALTANA builds for laser SLA machines, supplied in translucent blue, with 10 kg canisters available on request — the only Cubic Ink resin offered that way.

Cubic Ink® High Performance 2-1400 VP-SLA (ALTANA article 10-08-1800) is the laser-SLA member of the Cubic Ink industrial resin line by ALTANA — the German specialty-chemicals group behind BYK and ECKART. It is a multi-purpose SLA resin with good impact strength, chemical resistance and high clarity, designed for large-vat stereolithography printers working at 355 nm. It comes in 1 kg bottles and 5 kg canisters, with 10 kg canisters available on request. Natural color is translucent blue; black, blue and grey are also available, and more colors on request.

Where it fits
A general-purpose SLA material for prototypes and functional parts in tooling, machinery, household goods and toys — fast printing, a good surface finish, low shrinkage and very low water uptake.
Processing workflow
- Wash: Cubic Ink Cleaner 400 or propylene carbonate for up to 20 minutes (Cleaner 400 gives smoother surfaces in about 4 minutes), then rinse with IPA.
- Dry: at least 30 minutes at ambient conditions, or 30–60 minutes at 50 °C.
- Post-cure: a short UV cure is required — the datasheet values use 2 × 10 minutes at 60 °C with 365 and 405 nm LED.
