What your process engineer actually checks

Stable PSD, predictable refresh

Every batch ships with a datasheet covering PSD, melt behavior, and recommended refresh ratio, so part density and surface stay in spec build after build. Lock the refresh once, reorder the same powder.

Questions on refresh ratio, recyclate limits, part density, or warpage? A materials engineer answers directly. Most replies in under 4 hours, NDA standard.

About this product

SLS · White PA12 Nylon · In stock, Los Angeles

KSPA12 is a premium white PA12 nylon powder for laser sintering (SLS). Fine ~50 µm powder with high sphericity and fluidity, it sinters into clean white parts with strong, durable mechanicals — and holds its mechanical properties, surface finish and colour even at near-full powder reuse. A dependable, cost-efficient workhorse for prototypes, jigs & fixtures and functional end-use parts, stocked in Los Angeles and dispatched fast.

Why teams run KSPA12

Clean white parts

High-sphericity powder lays down even layers for a smooth surface finish and crisp detail — strong cosmetic and functional results, even at high reuse.

Predictable flow

A narrow particle-size distribution around a ~50 µm D50 with high fluidity means even recoating and consistent packing density, build after build.

Strong & durable

46 MPa tensile, 1600 MPa modulus and 38 kJ/m² Charpy impact, with good chemical resistance — fit for functional parts exposed to oils, fuels and solvents.

High reuse, stable colour

Keeps its mechanicals and surface finish near full powder reuse, with colour staying stable across reruns — so your cost per part stays low.

What you can print

Representative examples of parts produced in white PA12.

Where it’s used

  • Functional structures & prototypes — fit, form and functional testing.
  • Jigs, fixtures & tooling — durable shop-floor aids, made on demand.
  • End-use parts — brackets, housings, enclosures, clips and connectors.
  • Automotive & industrial — lightweight parts resistant to oils and fluids.
  • Aerospace & architectural — lightweight complex geometries.
  • Electronics & consumer — enclosures, intricate connectors, wearables.

How SLS printing works

1 · Load & print

Fill the hopper and run your CO₂/IR SLS profile — white PA12 sinters layer by layer, fully self-supporting, no support structures.

2 · Cool & depowder

Let the build cake cool, then recover parts and brush off loose powder — clean white surfaces, ready to use.

3 · Finish & reuse

Bead-blast, dye or smooth as needed, then refresh the leftover powder and reuse it at a high ratio to keep cost per part low.

What you get & how you buy

  • A 10 kg sealed package of white PA12, ready to ship from our Los Angeles stock.
  • Setup recommendations — recommended starting parameters and refresh-ratio guidance from our materials engineer. A starting point you tune on your own machine, not a guaranteed printer-specific profile.
  • A materials engineer on call for parameters, refresh ratio, recyclate limits and part density — most replies the same day.
  • NDA on request before we review any files or specifications.

Check your laser type before ordering

White PA12 is for CO₂ / infrared (IR) SLS systems. In those machines it sinters into clean, strong white parts.

It does not sinter under blue / 450 nm diode lasers — for blue-diode systems you need a grey or black grade instead. If your printer uses a blue diode laser, talk to our materials engineer first and we’ll source and qualify the right dark grade for you.

KSPA12 runs on industrial CO₂/IR powder-bed SLS systems with adjustable melt and bed parameters.

Don’t see your grade?

Need a glass-filled, flame-retardant, colour-matched or dark (grey/black) nylon, or a grade for a system we don’t list yet? Our materials team sources and qualifies it and prints test specimens before you commit. Typical lead time 2–4 weeks.

FAQ

Will it work on my SLS printer?

KSPA12 is built for CO₂ / infrared SLS systems with adjustable parameters. It will not sinter under blue / 450 nm diode lasers — those need a grey or black grade. Tell us your machine and we’ll confirm and share starting parameters.

How heat-resistant are the parts?

Vicat softening temperature is about 100 °C (ISO 306) and the powder melts at 187 °C (ISO 11357) — suitable for parts seeing moderate heat, not sustained high-temperature loads.

How reusable is the powder?

KSPA12 keeps its mechanical properties, surface finish and colour even near full powder reuse, which keeps cost per part down. Lock in your refresh ratio once and reorder the same grade for repeatable results.

How is it packaged and priced?

One package is 10 kg / 22.05 lbs at $75/kg — $750 per package. In stock and shipping from Los Angeles.

Can I get a sample first?

We can print a paid sample part in PA12 from your geometry so you can evaluate it in hand, alongside a free capability call. Ask a materials engineer to set it up.
