Which 3D printers is the Nexa3D XiP AiR compatible with?

The XiP AiR is a standalone room purifier, not a part that fits inside a printer, so it is not restricted to one machine. It was specified by Nexa3D for use alongside the XiP family of desktop resin printers, but because it simply sits on the bench and filters the surrounding air it works next to any resin printer, wash station, or resin handling area. Note that it is separate from the in-printer activated-carbon filter sets fitted inside the XiP and XiP Pro, which handle air inside the print chamber. Many teams run both: filters inside the machine, and a XiP AiR for the room.

How is the XiP AiR different from a normal office air purifier?

The difference is the carbon stage. Resin odour comes from volatile organic compounds, and VOCs are adsorbed by activated carbon, not trapped by a HEPA element. Most consumer purifiers are built around HEPA with a thin carbon layer aimed at general household smells. The XiP AiR filter is specified for Nexa3D with roughly five times the activated carbon content of a comparable general-purpose desktop unit. Since carbon volume determines how much VOC a filter can hold before it saturates, that is the specification that decides whether a purifier actually controls resin odour or just moves air around.

How often does the XiP AiR filter need changing and what does it cost?

Plan on replacing the cartridge roughly every 3 months in normal use. Activated carbon is consumed as it adsorbs VOCs, so unlike a HEPA element that visibly loads with dust, a spent carbon filter gives no obvious warning - odour simply starts creeping back. If you print heavily or run the unit continuously, expect a shorter interval. What does the Bluetooth connectivity do?

In practice this matters where the purifier sits behind or beside a printer and is awkward to reach, or where you want to raise the fan speed during a wash cycle without walking over to it. The core function of the unit does not depend on connectivity - it filters whether or not you pair with it - so treat the app as convenience rather than as a required setup step.

The XiP AiR is available in the United States and Canada only. That is a manufacturer distribution restriction rather than a technical limitation, and it applies to the replacement cartridges as well.
