Standard-referenced evaluation

Qpix Control2 evaluates Vickers, Knoop, Brinell and Rockwell to ISO 6507 / 6506 / 6508 and runs CHD/SHD/NHD per ISO 2639. The Calibration Manager keeps verification on schedule and tracks trends — the audit trail your AS9100 assessor checks, so results are conformant, not just comparable.

An applications engineer on the line

Template building, report layout and method support from engineers who run metallography and AM materials in-house. Sub-4h reply, NDA standard.

About this product

QATM Qpix Control2 is the advanced PC software for QATM Qness hardness testers — it drives the machine, evaluates indentations and turns a test series into an audit-ready report, with automated case-hardening-depth analysis, weld and HAZ mapping, edge recognition and panorama imaging.

QATM Qpix Control2 hardness testing software – CHD SHD NHD case-hardening depth with optimum stop
Qpix Control2 — automated CHD / SHD / NHD evaluation with Optimum Stop.

Why metrology labs choose Qpix Control2

Automated evaluation, weld tooling and reporting built around QATM Qness hardness testers.

Automated CHD / SHD / NHD

Case-, surface- and nitriding-hardening-depth evaluation with an Optimum Stop mode that ends a series once the hardness limit is undercut — no wasted indentations.

Weld & HAZ toolset

Place test points along or parallel to a polygon line, with marking and guide circles for exact positioning across the weld and heat-affected zone.

Edge recognition + predictive points

The software moves to programmed start points and corrects their position before testing, shows the expected indentation size, and warns when points fall below the normed minimum spacing.

Panorama imaging + reporting

Sample- and measurement-camera imaging from tiny to very large items, configurable protocols and export files, plus the Qness Calibration Manager with reminders and trend tracking.

How Additive Plus delivers it

Licensed with your system, set up to your standards and reports, supported by engineers who run metallography daily.

Step 01
License & scope

We match the Qpix Control2 module set — CHD/weld/sinter tools, edge recognition, cameras — to your Qness tester and the standards you report to.

Step 02
Install & train

Factory-trained engineers install the software, build your templates and report layouts, and train operators on programming, evaluation and export.

Step 03
Validated & supported

The Calibration Manager keeps verification on schedule; you get method support and a sub-24h engineer response for programming and reporting questions.

What is Qpix Control2 and what does it do?
Qpix Control2 is QATM's advanced PC software for Qness hardness testers. It controls the machine, evaluates Vickers, Knoop, Brinell and Rockwell indentations, and turns a test series into an audit-ready report. Core modules cover automated case-hardening-depth (CHD/SHD/NHD), weld and heat-affected-zone mapping, edge recognition, predictive test-point placement, panorama imaging and the Qness Calibration Manager. Additive Plus scopes the module set to your tester and standards.
Which hardness testers does Qpix Control2 run on?
Qpix Control2 runs the QATM Qness family of micro and macro hardness testers — for example the Qness 60 A+ EVO micro tester and the Qness 250/750/3000 A+ EVO macro range — driving automated stages, cameras and turrets where fitted. On manually operated frames it still handles evaluation and reporting. Tell us which Qness model you run and we will confirm the compatible configuration and modules.
What case-hardening-depth and weld analysis does it provide?
Qpix Control2 runs automated CHD, SHD and NHD hardness traverses with an Optimum Stop mode that ends the series once the hardness limit is undercut. For welds it places test points along or parallel to a polygon line, with marking and guide circles for exact positioning across the weld and HAZ. Points can be grouped for averages and anomalies removed from the profile. Evaluation follows ISO 2639 and the relevant ISO hardness methods.
What export and reporting formats does it support?
Qpix Control2 offers configurable protocols and data presentation with structured storage of test-item data. Reports and data export in common office and data formats (such as PDF, XLSX, CSV and XML), and content is adaptable so the export matches your QC template. Panorama and automatic before/after imaging can be attached to the report. This suits both one-off analysis and repeatable, template-driven QC.
How does it manage calibration and audits?
The Qness Calibration Manager in Qpix Control2 reminds users of due checks at chosen intervals and adds each result to an ongoing statistical profile at the push of a button. It shows permitted tolerance values and long-term trends for every device and test block, and Qness test-block data can be called up online without re-entering plate details. That gives simple, traceable protocol access for audits.
How does Qpix Control2 differ from Qpix T2?
Qpix T2 is the on-device software for straightforward row tests, protocols and data export — ideal for serial testing and in-line integration. Qpix Control2 is the advanced PC package that adds automated CHD/weld/sinter tooling, edge recognition, predictive test-point placement, panorama imaging and richer data management. Choose T2 for simple test-and-report workflows; choose Control2 when you need automated evaluation and detailed analysis.
What is included, and what is the lead time?
Qpix Control2 is licensed and configured with your Qness system. Delivery through Additive Plus includes software installation, template and report-layout setup, and operator training on programming, evaluation and export, plus Calibration Manager configuration. It is typically supplied alongside a new tester or as a software upgrade to an existing Qness machine — request a quote for licensing, modules and a confirmed schedule.
