What is Verder Scientific IoT?
Verder Scientific IoT is a connectivity platform and app that links Verder Scientific lab instruments to one interface. It lets you remotely monitor and control analyses, back up and restore systems, receive event notifications, run remote service diagnostics and roll out software updates. It spans Verder Scientific's instrument families — ELTRA elemental analyzers, QATM hardness testers and Microtrac particle analyzers — so a mixed lab manages everything from a single platform. Additive Plus configures it to your instruments and data-security rules.
Which instruments can I connect?
The platform connects Verder Scientific systems including ELTRA ELEMENTRAC C/S and O/N/H elemental analyzers, QATM Qness hardness testers (through the Qpix Qconnect interface), and Microtrac CAMSIZER X2 and CAMSIZER 3D particle analyzers. Central backup and restore lets you recover a system quickly, and software updates are delivered straight from the platform.
Is my data secure?
Security is a priority and control stays with you. Through the instrument software — for example the QPIX software on QATM hardness testers — you decide exactly what data is transferred from the device to the IoT app. That means you get remote visibility and faster service while keeping reproducible, high-quality analysis inside your own regulatory and data-governance framework.
How does connectivity and data export work?
For hardness testing, QATM's Qconnect interface in Qpix Control2 provides a full connectivity portfolio — serial production, open bi-directional XML interfaces and pre-specified plug-ins such as the QDAS Plug-In+, through to fully customer-specific solutions, and it can now run in the cloud. On the analyzer side, ELEMENTRAC systems add automation interfaces and LIMS import/export. Additive Plus scopes the right interfaces and plug-ins for your data flow.
Can I control instruments from a phone or run virtual labs?
Yes. The Verder Scientific IoT app lets you connect to your instruments from any mobile device or PC and see real-time data, analysis progress, settings, working conditions and events — and, where the instrument supports it, control analyses remotely. The platform's monitoring and automation features are designed to get more out of existing instruments, which is especially useful for high sample throughput and longer runs.
What does setup involve, and what is the lead time?
Setup connects your ELTRA, QATM and Microtrac systems to the platform, configures what each instrument shares, and sets notifications, backups, update rules and user access to your policy. Delivery through Additive Plus includes configuration and operator training, plus ongoing remote-diagnostics support.
