About this product

The Carbolite Gero HT is a high-temperature industrial oven built in four maximum-temperature grades — 400, 500, 600 and 700°C — and four chamber sizes from 28 to 350 litres. Robust construction, a stainless-steel liner and perforated stainless-steel shelves handle demanding heat-treatment duty, and a door switch and 301 controller come as standard. It reaches temperatures well above a general 300°C oven, covering air-atmosphere processes such as ageing, tempering, stress relief and high-temperature curing. Options include multi-segment programmers, over-temperature protection, a viewing window and a stoving & curing package for solvent extraction.

What temperatures does the HT oven reach?
The Carbolite Gero HT is built in four maximum-temperature grades: HT4 (400°C), HT5 (500°C), HT6 (600°C) and HT7 (700°C). You choose the grade that matches your process. Temperature uniformity is ±5°C and minimum operating temperature is about ambient +60°C. It is an air-atmosphere oven — for oxidation-sensitive work that needs an inert atmosphere, the Carbolite Gero HTMA controlled-atmosphere oven is the better choice.
What chamber sizes are available?
The HT comes in four chamber sizes — 28, 95, 220 and 350 litres. The 400, 500 and 600°C grades are available in all four sizes; the 700°C grade (HT7) is offered in 28, 95 and 220 L. Perforated stainless-steel shelves are standard, and additional or heavy-duty reinforced shelves can be specified. Our applications engineer will help match the size to your load and throughput.
Can the HT be used to stress-relieve metal 3D printed parts?
Yes, for alloys and cycles that tolerate an air atmosphere. The HT reaches up to 700°C, which covers stress relief, ageing and tempering of many metals. However, oxidation-sensitive alloys such as titanium should be treated under inert gas — for those, the Carbolite Gero HTMA controlled-atmosphere oven holds oxygen down to 50 ppm. We run heat treatment in-house at AO Metal and will advise which oven suits your alloy.
What controller does the HT use and can I program cycles?
The HT ships with the Carbolite Gero 301 controller for single ramp to setpoint plus a process timer. For programmed multi-segment ramps, soaks, data logging and digital communications, a range of upgraded controllers and programmers can be specified at time of order. This matters for heat-treatment cycles that need controlled ramp and soak stages. We will help match the controller to your process.
Does the HT offer a stoving and curing option?
Yes. A stoving & curing option for extracting small volumes of volatile solvents is available; it increases the maximum power by 1500 W and is not compatible with the viewing-window option. This suits high-temperature curing of coatings and resins that release fumes. Over-temperature protection and heavy-duty reinforced base and shelves are also available. We will confirm the right option combination for your process.
Is over-temperature protection available?
Yes. Over-temperature protection is an option, recommended for unattended operation and for protecting valuable loads — it isolates the heating if the setpoint is exceeded. Given the HT reaches up to 700°C, we strongly recommend it for high-value or long-duration cycles. A viewing window is also available (though not together with the stoving & curing option). The applications engineer will advise which safety options suit your workflow.
What is the lead time and does Additive Plus install it?
The HT is configured to order, so lead time depends on the grade, size and options chosen — request a current quote and we will confirm it.
