What your process engineer actually checks
High-temperature heat in four grades
HT4–HT7 cover 400, 500, 600 and 700°C so you buy the grade your process needs. A stainless-steel liner, perforated stainless shelves and robust construction with a door switch handle repeated high-temperature cycles at ±5°C uniformity.
An applications engineer on the line
Questions on soak temperatures, whether your process tolerates air, or which grade and size to pick? Our engineers run heat treatment in-house at AO Metal. Sub-4h reply, NDA standard.
The Carbolite Gero HT is a high-temperature industrial oven built in four maximum-temperature grades — 400, 500, 600 and 700°C — and four chamber sizes from 28 to 350 litres. Robust construction, a stainless-steel liner and perforated stainless-steel shelves handle demanding heat-treatment duty, and a door switch and 301 controller come as standard. It reaches temperatures well above a general 300°C oven, covering air-atmosphere processes such as ageing, tempering, stress relief and high-temperature curing. Options include multi-segment programmers, over-temperature protection, a viewing window and a stoving & curing package for solvent extraction.
Why engineers choose the HT
High-temperature air heating in four grades and four sizes — figures below are from the Carbolite Gero datasheet.
Four temperature grades
HT4 (400°C), HT5 (500°C), HT6 (600°C) and HT7 (700°C) — pick the grade that matches your process rather than paying for headroom you don’t use.
Four chamber sizes
28, 95, 220 and 350 L chambers — one design from bench-scale batches to larger production loads, with perforated stainless-steel shelves.
Robust industrial build
Stainless-steel liner, heavy-duty construction and a door switch that isolates power when the door opens — engineered for reliable, repeated high-temperature cycles.
301 control + options
301 controller with single ramp to setpoint and process timer; multi-segment programmers, over-temperature protection, viewing window and a stoving & curing option (adds 1500 W) are available.
How Additive Plus delivers it
Configured to order, installed and validated by engineers who run heat treatment in-house.
Configure to your process
Pick temperature grade (400–700°C), chamber size (28–350 L), controller and options — over-temperature protection, viewing window, stoving & curing, extra shelves.
Install & support
US-based delivery and setup, operator guidance, and Carbolite Gero spares and service handled locally.
Validate your cycle
We help set ageing, tempering, stress-relief or curing temperatures and ramp rates for the alloys and parts you process — and can run trials at AO Metal.
Temperature grades & chamber volumes
| Model | Max temp | Available chamber volumes |
|---|---|---|
| HT4/x | 400°C | 28, 95, 220, 350 L |
| HT5/x | 500°C | 28, 95, 220, 350 L |
| HT6/x | 600°C | 28, 95, 220, 350 L |
| HT7/x | 700°C | 28, 95, 220 L |
Minimum operating temperature is approximately ambient +60°C. Full per-model dimensions, shelf loading, recovery times and power ratings are in the Specifications tab.

From teams running Carbolite Gero ovens
Unedited feedback from labs and production floors.
Temperature uniformity held within spec across the whole chamber — our heat-treat sign-off stopped being a fight.
Configured to order meant the exact controller and over-temperature setup we needed, and install was handled end to end.
We use it for ageing and stress relief up to 600°C; ramp control and recovery are exactly what we needed.
