Description

PowderRange® CCM is a non-magnetic cobalt-chromium-molybdenum (CoCrMo) alloy engineered for metal additive manufacturing. This cobalt alloy exhibits excellent strength, corrosion and wear resistance, and superior biocompatibility, making it ideal for small biomedical devices and high-performance industrial components.

Produced via vacuum induction melting (VIM) followed by nitrogen gas atomization, PowderRange® CCM powder is suitable for LPBF, EBM, and DED processes. It demonstrates excellent weldability in laser additive manufacturing and can be processed with nitrogen or argon shielding gas.

CCM cobalt alloy maintains high mechanical properties up to 1112°F (600°C) and performs reliably in corrosive environments. When nickel content is below 0.1%, it is biocompatible. Its non-magnetic nature also makes it compatible with MRI applications. These characteristics make PowderRange® CCM perfect for orthopedic implants, dental devices, and high-performance tooling in energy and medical industries.
