What your process engineer actually checks
Tooling we run ourselves
Additive Plus runs 3D-printed tooling in-house, so we know what a water-breakable mold has to do on a real cycle — not just on a datasheet. We help match Mold 400 to your fill material before you commit.
A materials engineer on the line
Factory-trained support, not a remote ticket queue. We size the mold, fill and release cycle to your part and target material. Sub-24h reply, NDA standard.
ALTANA Cubic Ink Mold 400 VP is a water-breakable casting resin that 3D-prints sacrificial molds for injection molding, casting and silicone work — then breaks apart in plain water, with minimal swelling, so parts release cleanly on an automatable cycle.
Why engineers choose Mold 400 VP
One-Shot Mold technology, not another castable resin.
One-Shot Mold (OSM) technology
The printed mold tolerates real filling temperature and pressure — up to 380 °C at the process and 1200 bar — so you cast in your target material, not a stand-in.
Water-breakable release
The cured mold disintegrates in water with minimal swelling. No mechanical breakout, no solvent baths — release is clean and repeatable.
Short, automatable cycles
Print, fill, release in water, repeat. OSM is built for short cycle times you can put on a production line.
Rigid & dimensionally stable
42 MPa tensile strength, 1900 MPa modulus and 80 Shore D hold cavity geometry, with 30/50 µm xy/z accuracy.

Typical applications
Where a sacrificial, water-releasable mold pays off.
How you run it
Print → wash & cure → fill & release in water.
Print the mold
LCD / DLP / mSLA at 385 or 405 nm. Stir before use; store ≥21 °C, away from light.
Wash & UV-cure
Clean with Cubic Ink Cleaner 400 or IPA, then UV post-cure to reach full properties.
Fill & release
Cast or inject your target material, then dissolve the mold in water (or Mold Remover 100, 50–80 °C).
