About this product

The Farsoon FS1311M-U is a large-format LPBF metal system built for high-throughput serial production. A 1310 × 1310 × 1650 mm build runs sixteen fiber lasers — 500 W or 1000 W each — reaching build rates up to 1,440 cm³/h in Ti-6Al-4V. It targets aerospace, automotive and energy parts at production scale. Sold, installed and supported in the US by Additive Plus.

Why production teams choose the FS1311M-U

Large-format metal parts at production build rates on an open, multi-laser LPBF platform.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

How large a part can the FS1311M-U build?
The FS1311M-U has a 1310 × 1310 × 1650 mm build volume, so it prints large single metal parts or dense nested batches in one run that smaller LPBF systems would have to split. The tall 1650 mm Z-height suits long structural components and high-nest production of medium parts.
How many lasers does the FS1311M-U have and how powerful are they?
The FS1311M-U runs sixteen fiber lasers, each specified at 500 W or 1000 W. Higher-power lasers raise build rate on robust alloys, while the full array scans in parallel across the 1.3 m platform. Additive Plus helps you configure laser power to your alloy and part goals.
What build rate can the FS1311M-U achieve?
The FS1311M-U reaches build rates up to 1,440 cm³/h in Ti-6Al-4V at a 150 µm layer thickness. Actual rate depends on alloy, layer thickness and part geometry — thinner layers favour surface finish, thicker layers and higher laser power raise throughput. Our engineers help you balance the two for your production target.
What alloys does the FS1311M-U run?
The FS1311M-U focuses on titanium (Ti-6Al-4V, TA15) and nickel superalloys (IN718, HX) and also runs stainless 316L, aluminium AlSi10Mg and maraging tool steel. Because parameters are open, Additive Plus can help qualify additional alloys and supply validated parameter sets for your material.
What layer thickness and atmosphere does it use?
The FS1311M-U runs 0.02–0.10 mm (0.0008–0.0039 in) layers under a nitrogen or argon atmosphere at 25–35 L/min, selected by alloy. Thinner layers favour resolution and surface finish; thicker layers raise build rate on robust alloys. Additive Plus supplies the parameter set that matches your alloy and part goals.
What facility does the FS1311M-U need?
The FS1311M-U is a large installation — approximately 9500 × 6000 × 6500 mm and 52,000 kg — with a 25–35 L/min inert-gas supply. Additive Plus handles facility, gas and power planning as part of installation so the system is commissioned correctly for your site and production workflow.
What does delivery, install and support look like?
This is capital equipment: Additive Plus handles facility, gas and power planning, US installation and commissioning, operator training on BuildStar / MakeStar®, qualified alloy parameters and local warranty and service. Lead time is configured to order and leasing or financing is available — request a quote and a named engineer will confirm timing and configuration.
