Description

Creatbot PET CF is an advanced engineering filament specifically developed for FDM 3D printing, combining PET polymer with carbon fiber reinforcement. This high-performance PET-CF material offers exceptional mechanical properties, excellent dimensional stability, and superior heat resistance after annealing, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications without requiring a heated chamber.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Exceptional Strength & Stiffness: Carbon fiber reinforcement provides high tensile strength (87 MPa) and outstanding modulus (6025 MPa)

  • Superior Heat Resistance: Annealing dramatically increases HDT from 80°C to 149°C for high-temperature applications

  • Excellent Dimensional Stability: Minimal warping and shrinkage during printing without heated chamber

  • Low Moisture Absorption: Maintains properties better than nylon-based composites

  • Chemical Resistance: Withstands exposure to various chemicals and environmental factors

Recommended Print Settings

Parameter Recommended Value

Critical Printing Guidelines

Moisture Management:

  • Store in dry environment (<15% RH)

  • Dry at 100°C for 6-8 hours before printing

  • Vacuum seal for long-term storage

Annealing Process:

  • Temperature: 100°C for 8 hours

  • Methods: Standard plate or sand bath annealing

  • Result: HDT increases from 80°C to 149°C

Hardware Requirements:

  • Hardened steel nozzle essential for abrasive resistance

  • External spool holder recommended to prevent breakage

  • Maintain minimum 110° bend radius in filament path

Performance Highlights

  • Mechanical Strength: High (87 MPa tensile, 123 MPa flexural)

  • Stiffness: Exceptional (6025 MPa tensile modulus)

  • Heat Resistance: Outstanding after annealing (149°C HDT)

  • Dimensional Stability: Excellent – Minimal warping

Typical Applications

  • Industrial Jigs, Fixtures & Tooling

  • Functional Prototypes & End-Use Parts

  • Automotive Brackets & Components

  • Structural Housings & Enclosures

  • Mechanical Components & Mounts

Storage & Handling

Store Creatbot Creatbot PET-CF Carbon Fiber Reinforced Filament in a cool, dry place inside its original sealed bag with desiccant. For long-term storage or in humid environments, use a dry box to prevent moisture absorption, which can lead to printing issues and reduced mechanical properties.
