ELTRA CW-800 CO₂ & Water Analyzer – Simultaneous IR | Gypsum, Cement & Minerals
Analyzer for the simultaneous determination of carbon dioxide and water — the sample in a quartz boat is heated in a resistance furnace up to 1,000 °C, and released CO₂ (from carbonates) and water are measured by infrared cells in 2–3 minutes.
- ✔ CO₂ + H₂O simultaneously · minimal sample prep
- ✔ Resistance furnace to 1,000 °C (1 °C steps) · 1–2 IR cells · gold IR path
- ✔ Nitrogen carrier · no halogen trap · single/multipoint calibration
- ✔ Lead time: configured to order — request current timeline
What your QC lab actually checks
Simultaneous CO₂ and water
Heating a quartz-boat sample in a resistance furnace adjustable to 1,000 °C in 1 °C steps releases residual and crystallization water plus CO₂ from carbonates, which infrared cells measure simultaneously in about 2–3 minutes. A nitrogen carrier with a gold IR path and no halogen trap keeps the method simple and robust for cement, gypsum, minerals, ores and soil.

IR-cell configuration, temperature program, calibration and blank control from engineers who run materials characterization in-house. Sub-4h reply, NDA standard.
The ELTRA CW-800 simultaneously determines carbon dioxide and water in inorganic samples. The sample is weighed into a quartz boat and heated in a resistance furnace, adjustable up to 1,000 °C in 1 °C steps; depending on temperature, residual or crystallization water and CO₂ released from carbonates (such as CaCO₃) are measured by infrared cells. A determination takes about 2–3 minutes, needs minimal sample preparation, and uses a nitrogen carrier with no halogen trap required.
Why cement, minerals and building-material labs choose the CW-800
Carbon dioxide and water in one fast, low-prep determination.
CO₂ & H₂O in 2–3 minutes
Simultaneous, precise determination of carbon dioxide and water with minimal sample preparation — rapid, reliable and repeatable for routine QC.
Temperature-selective release
Set the resistance furnace up to 1,000 °C in 1 °C steps to separate residual and crystallization water from CO₂ released by carbonates.
Gold IR path, no halogen trap
Customized infrared cells with a gold IR path extend cell life on halogen- or acid-containing samples; electronic gas-flow control keeps results stable.
Built for lab and production
Robust, low-maintenance design with multilingual software, single- and multipoint calibration and flexible result export — suited to the lab and production control.

From cement, minerals and building-material labs running the ELTRA CW-800
Unedited feedback from QC teams.
CO₂ from carbonate and crystallization water in one run. It replaced two separate methods in our cement QC.
Carbonate content on ores is fast and repeatable. The nitrogen carrier and no halogen trap keep maintenance low.
Gypsum crystallization water is now a two-minute number. The temperature steps separate water from CO₂ cleanly.
