The Delfin DBF 30 is a three-phase industrial dust and chip collector built to integrate directly into production machines and lines. Its side-channel blower couples the motor to the impeller with no transmission — so it is quiet, effectively maintenance-free and rated for continuous 24/7 duty. A large-surface antistatic star filter (Class M) with an external-lever mechanical shaker keeps suction constant and prevents dust escaping to the room, and the compact steel body fits where a mobile vacuum won’t. It moves 221 CFM through a 2-inch inlet at IP55 — a fixed collector for dust, chips and process waste at the source.

What is the DBF 30 designed for?
The DBF 30 is a three-phase industrial dust and chip collector designed to be integrated into production machines and lines, collecting dust and process waste at the source. It suits paper and converting, food and pharmaceutical lines such as blister machines, and general manufacturing where non-combustible dust and chips are generated continuously. Its compact modular body fits into narrow spaces around machinery. For combustible dust or reactive metal powder, use an ATEX-rated or inert unit instead.
Is the DBF 30 a mobile vacuum or a fixed collector?
The DBF 30 is a fixed, line-integrated collector rather than a portable vacuum. It is built to mount into or beside a production machine and run continuously, capturing dust and chips as they are produced. That is different from a mobile unit like the DM 3 EL, which you wheel around a shop. If you need a movable general-purpose vacuum instead, Additive Plus can point you to the right portable model.
What makes the side-channel blower maintenance-free?
The DBF 30 uses a side-channel blower in which the motor is coupled directly to the impeller fan, with no belts or transmission system to wear or adjust. That direct coupling makes it quiet, effectively maintenance-free, and suitable for continuous 24/7 operation. A pressure-relief valve supplies additional cooling air and protects the motor, so the unit can run under sustained load without overheating — which is what a line integration demands.
How is the filter cleaned?
The DBF 30 carries a large-surface antistatic polyester star filter, rated Class M, inside the filter chamber. To clean it, an operator moves an external lever that shakes the filter vertically — clearing caked dust and restoring full suction without opening the machine or dispersing dust into the working environment. This keeps suction performance constant across a shift and keeps the housekeeping around the collector clean. Genuine Delfin filters are stocked in the US.
Is the DBF 30 safe for combustible dust or metal powder?
The DBF 30 is a standard three-phase collector for non-combustible dust and chips; its antistatic filter reduces static build-up but it is not an ATEX-certified or inert unit. For combustible dust, or reactive metal powders such as aluminum and titanium, use a rated ATEX or inert vacuum — Additive Plus carries the Delfin Mistral D2 and inert models for exactly that. If you are unsure whether your dust is combustible, send us the material and we will confirm the right unit.
What power supply does the DBF 30 need?
The DBF 30 runs on three-phase power at 230/460 V, 60 Hz, driving a 3.46 HP side-channel blower, with IP55 ingress protection for an industrial environment. Three-phase supply is standard on most production lines, which is where this unit is designed to live.
