What your safety lead actually checks

What your safety lead actually checks

Certified capture at higher volume

The PRO HEPA 20 runs the same HEPA filter, individually tested and certified to 99.97% at 0.3 µm (IEST-RP-CC001), behind a Dacron bag, spacer sleeve and polyester pre-filter — but with a 20-gallon tank so you empty far less often. You get certified fine-dust capture and longer autonomy. If your dust is combustible, we tell you and point you to an inert unit instead of overselling this one.

Questions on HEPA capture, filter-change intervals, or whether this unit is compliant for your material? A named applications engineer answers directly — most replies under 4 hours, NDA standard. We run powder handling in our own California shop.

About this product

The Delfin PRO HEPA 20 (HV107) is the large-capacity member of the PRO HEPA line — a certified-HEPA dry industrial vacuum built for the safe capture of fine, hazardous dust across bigger jobs and longer shifts. It runs the same individually tested HEPA filter, certified to 99.97% at 0.3 microns (IEST-RP-CC001), behind a multi-stage pre-filter train, but pairs it with a 20-gallon tank so you empty far less often. A 2 HP two-stage bypass motor and 50-foot cord make it a practical unit for silica, mold, lead and general finishing dust. It is a general-purpose HEPA unit, not an explosion-proof one — for reactive metal powder or bulk combustible dust, use a rated inert vacuum.

Why teams choose the PRO HEPA 20

The numbers a safety officer and a shop lead actually check.

Certified HEPA, individually tested

The same PRO HEPA filter, tested to a minimum 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns per IEST-RP-CC001 — a certificate per unit, not a batch claim.

20-gallon capacity, fewer empties

Twice the recovery volume of the PRO HEPA 10 means longer autonomy on high-dust jobs and less downtime stopping to empty the tank mid-shift.

2 HP, 105 inH₂O lift

A commercial-grade two-stage bypass motor pulls 110 CFM at 105 inH₂O — enough to lift dense settled dust through a 1.5 in inlet.

66 lb, 50-ft cord, 65 dB(A)

Mounted on casters for stability when full, with a 50-foot cord that covers a large bay and a measured 65 dB(A) noise level for all-shift use.

Match the vacuum to your dust

Filtration efficiency is only half the decision — the other half is whether the dust is combustible.

Use it for
Fine hazardous dust

Crystalline silica, mold, lead, drywall, sanding and finishing debris, and general lab and shop housekeeping — at higher volume than the PRO HEPA 10.

Don’t use it for
Reactive or combustible powder

Aluminium, titanium, magnesium and other reactive metals — and bulk combustible dust — need a rated inert vacuum. See the Mistral inert / D2 line below.

Ask us if
You’re unsure

Send us the material and PSD — including polymer or SLS powder — so an engineer can confirm its combustible-dust rating before you buy.

Filtration: HEPA plus pre-filters

Like the rest of the PRO HEPA line, the PRO HEPA 20 protects its certified HEPA element with a multi-stage pre-filter train — a Dacron filter bag, a spacer sleeve and a polyester pre-filter take the bulk dust load first. That extends HEPA filter life, keeps airflow steady across a full shift, and guards against accidental particle discharge. The certified HEPA filter does the final 99.97%-at-0.3µm capture so nothing fine returns to the room.

Not sure the PRO HEPA 20 is the right unit?

Less capacity, or a rated unit for reactive and combustible dust.

Tell us your material, particle size and where it’s generated — an applications engineer confirms whether the PRO HEPA 20 is compliant for your dust, or points you to the right inert/ATEX unit. Typical reply under 24 hours, NDA standard.

Why source through Additive Plus

  • We run powder-handling and post-processing in our own California shop — we spec the vacuum to the dust, not to a catalog line.

The 20-gallon tank means we're not stopping to empty it during a full silica cleanup — and the certified HEPA exhaust keeps the fines out of the air.

We run it in the finishing room for sanding and media-blast dust. The documentation for the HEPA filter made the safety sign-off straightforward.

Bought it over the smaller unit for the autonomy. Same suction, twice the tank, and it's quiet enough to leave running all shift.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

What is the PRO HEPA 20 designed to pick up?
The PRO HEPA 20 is built for the safe pickup of fine, hazardous dust — crystalline silica, sanding and finishing debris, mold, and lead or asbestos in remediation work, plus general lab and shop housekeeping — at higher volume than the PRO HEPA 10. Its certified HEPA filter keeps captured fines from returning to the room. It is a general-purpose dry unit: for loose polymer or SLS powder, confirm the powder's combustible-dust rating with us first, and use a rated inert vacuum for reactive metal powder or bulk combustible dust.
How is the PRO HEPA 20 different from the PRO HEPA 10?
The PRO HEPA 20 shares the PRO HEPA 10's certified HEPA filtration, 2 HP two-stage bypass motor and 50-foot cord, but doubles the recovery tank to 20 gallons. That means longer autonomy and fewer stops to empty on high-dust jobs, at the cost of a larger footprint and 66 lb weight versus 38 lb. Choose the 20 for sustained or larger-area work and the 10 for portability. Both are for non-combustible dust only.
What HEPA efficiency does it achieve, and is it certified?
The PRO HEPA 20 uses a HEPA filter individually tested and certified to a minimum efficiency of 99.97% at 0.3 microns, based on the particle-count test method IEST-RP-CC001. Individually tested means each filter carries its own certificate rather than a batch rating — the documentation an EHS or QC team needs for silica, lead, mold and asbestos work. Additive Plus can supply the HEPA test certificate on request.
Is the PRO HEPA 20 safe for metal powder like titanium or aluminum?
No. The PRO HEPA 20 is a standard certified-HEPA dry vacuum for non-combustible dust. Reactive or combustible metal powders — aluminum, titanium, magnesium — must be collected with an inert immersion-separation or ATEX-rated vacuum, such as the Delfin Mistral 451 inert or D2 units Additive Plus also carries. If you are unsure whether your powder is combustible, send us the material and particle size and an engineer will confirm the right unit before you buy.
What pre-filters does it use and why do they matter?
Upstream of the certified HEPA element the PRO HEPA 20 runs a multi-stage pre-filter train: a Dacron filter bag, a spacer sleeve, and a polyester pre-filter. The pre-filters take the bulk dust load first, which protects the HEPA filter, extends its service life, and guards against accidental particle discharge. The Dacron bag also prevents the clogging and airflow loss that stalls single-filter vacuums mid-shift.
How strong is the suction, and what is the tank capacity?
The PRO HEPA 20 is driven by a 2 HP commercial-grade, two-stage bypass motor delivering 110 CFM airflow and 105 inH₂O of water lift through a 1.5-inch inlet — enough to lift dense, settled dust. The tank holds 20 gallons, roughly double the PRO HEPA 10, giving long autonomy before it needs emptying. Collection is via a Dacron filter bag for clean disposal.
Is it portable, and how loud is it?
The PRO HEPA 20 weighs 66 lbs and sits on casters, so it rolls between benches and bays even though it is larger than the PRO HEPA 10. A 50-foot power cord covers a large area without changing outlets. Measured noise is 65 dB(A) per EN ISO 3744 — low enough for all-shift use. For a lighter, more portable unit, consider the 38 lb PRO HEPA 10.
