QATM Qness 150 RCS Rockwell Hardness Tester – Rockwell/Vickers/Brinell | up to 150 kgf
What your metrology engineer actually checks
Traceable to the standard
Referenced to ISO 6508 / ISO 6507 / ISO 6506 and ASTM E18 / E384 / E10 — the conformity your AS9100 auditor and NADCAP assessor check. DAkkS-certified indenters ship in the box, so results are conformant, not just comparable.
An applications engineer on the line
Method development, indenter and lens selection, and calibration support from engineers who run metallography and AM materials in-house. Sub-4h reply, NDA standard.
The QATM Qness 150 RCS is a combined C-frame hardness tester that runs direct-reading Rockwell alongside optical Vickers and Brinell in one rigid frame, with closed-loop test forces up to 150 kgf (1471.5 N) and Qpix T2R software driving the sequence.

Why metrology labs choose the Qness 150 RCS
Rockwell plus optical Vickers and Brinell on one C-frame, sized for large production parts.
Rockwell and optical methods, one frame
Runs direct-reading Rockwell (ISO 6508 / ASTM E18) alongside optical Vickers and Brinell (ISO 6507 / 6506, ASTM E384 / E10) — one C-frame for scale-based and indent-measured methods.
Closed-loop force to 150 kgf
Test forces up to 150 kgf (1471.5 N) cover the full Rockwell scale set plus optical Brinell and Vickers loads. The Qness 60 RCS variant covers up to 62.5 kgf (613.1 N) for lighter work.
C-frame reach and stability
180 mm test height and 180 mm horizontal throat with a ø 100 mm anvil take large and awkward parts. The 120 kg frame holds indentation geometry stable through the load cycle.
Camera evaluation and Qpix T2R
Integrated optics measure Vickers and Brinell indents automatically, while Qpix T2R software drives the test sequence, logs results and exports reports over RS232 or Ethernet.
How Additive Plus delivers it
Configured to your standards, installed and calibrated on-site, supported by engineers who run metallography daily.
Configure to your lab
We spec the frame around the parts and standards you test — Rockwell scales, optical Vickers and Brinell loads, indenters, anvils and the Qpix T2R license.
Install & train on-site
Factory-trained engineers install the system, verify calibration against certified reference blocks per ISO 6508 / ASTM E18 and ISO 6507 / 6506, and train your operators on Qpix T2R.
Validated & supported
You leave with a tester that reproduces reference blocks in spec, DAkkS-traceable indenters in the box, and method support with a sub-24h engineer response.
Where the Qness 150 RCS earns its place
Rockwell and optical hardness for QC labs, heat-treat verification and metallography.

Send us your samples and we'll run a benchmark hardness measurement in our lab, then share the report and recommended method before you buy.
From labs running the Qness 150 RCS
Unedited feedback from metrology and QC teams.
We run Rockwell on production parts and optical Vickers on the same mounts without changing machines. Batch QC and heat-treat sign-off now happen on one frame.
Reference blocks reproduce in spec at every audit, and the C-frame reach handles parts our old bench tester never could.
Qpix T2R reporting and camera evaluation of Brinell indents cut our documentation time. Support actually knows metallography.
