The QATM Qness 200 CSA+ is a fully automated C-frame macro hardness tester that runs Vickers, Brinell and Rockwell across a 0.5 – 187.5 kgf (4.9 – 1839 N) force range, pairing electronic force application with an automatic XY stage, XLED Brinell optics and a full-table sample image camera.

A 5 MP Ethernet industrial camera reads indentations; the CSA+ sample image camera records the entire table for overview and reporting. XLED2 to 100x lenses cover 4.24 × 3.18 mm down to 0.113 × 0.084 mm fields.

Which hardness methods and scales does the Qness 200 CSA+ run?
The Qness 200 CSA+ is a universal C-frame tester that runs Vickers, Brinell and Rockwell across a 0.5 to 187.5 kgf force range (4.9–1839 N). Electronic force application covers macro Vickers, the common Brinell scales and Rockwell scales on one frame, so a single system handles hardened steels, castings, non-ferrous metals and case-hardened parts without swapping machines.
What standards is the Qness 200 CSA+ calibrated to?
It is set up and verified against ISO 6507 / ASTM E384 for Vickers, ISO 6506 / ASTM E10 for Brinell and ISO 6508 / ASTM E18 for Rockwell. Calibration uses certified reference blocks and DAkkS-traceable indenters. The 180 × 200 mm test table carries workpieces of effectively unlimited weight on the C-frame, with a 238 mm throat depth and 140 mm test height. Motorized test-head height and QATM sample holders let you stage up to eight mounted samples for one automated run.
How does the CSA+ differ from the base Qness 200 CS?
Both share the same 187.5 kgf C-frame and method set. The CSA+ adds an automatic motorized XY stage with a high-precision positioning drive (traverse X 220 / Y 220 mm) and a full-table sample image camera, so it runs extensive test series, hardness curves and case-hardening traverses unattended. The base Qness 200 CS positions the sample manually and omits the sample camera.
Can it automate case-hardening depth and weld hardness maps?
Yes. The automatic XY stage and Qpix Control 2 software run programmed CHD, SHD and Rht Vickers traverses and hardness maps across weld heat-affected zones without operator repositioning. The sample image camera records the whole table for documentation, and results export directly into Qpix Control 2 test protocols.
What are the lead time and installation like?
