About this product

The QATM Qness 250 / 750 / 3000 E EVO is the economical entry into the EVO universal macro range — one frame that runs Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell and Knoop across three force classes (250, 750 and 3000 kgf, 0.3–3000 kg / 2.94–29430 N) with motorized dynamic height adjustment and redeveloped XLED optics.

Why production and QC labs choose the Qness 250 / 750 / 3000 E EVO

Four hardness methods, three force classes and a large test space on one economical universal macro frame.

Three force classes, one frame

Choose the 250, 750 or 3000 kgf class and cover 0.3–3000 kg (2.94–29430 N) under electronic force control — from low-macro Vickers to full Brinell on large forgings and castings.

Four methods, one turret

Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell and Knoop from an 8-position tool changer, with XLED Brinell evaluation lenses (XLED 1/2/5) for precise, repeatable readings on soft and coarse Brinell indents.

Large parts, dynamic height

510 mm test height and 320 mm throat with motorized (asynchron-motor) height adjustment, a 584 × 450 mm anvil, clamping force to 3500 kg and effectively unlimited workpiece weight.

Redeveloped optics and imaging

A universal XLED microscope system spans 0.1–8 mm with uniform illumination, paired with a 5 MP Ethernet industrial camera (up to 270 FPS), a 12″ capacitive touch display and Qpix T2 software (Qpix Control 2 M optional).

How Additive Plus delivers it

Configured to your standards, installed and calibrated on-site, supported by engineers who run metallography daily.

Step 01
Configure to your lab

We spec the force class (250 / 750 / 3000 kgf), turret load-out — Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell and Knoop modules, XLED lens set, clamping elements and Qpix license — around the parts and standards you test.

Step 02
Install & train on-site

Factory-trained engineers install the system, verify calibration against certified reference blocks per ISO 6506 / ISO 6507 / ISO 6508 and ASTM E10 / E92 / E18, and train your operators on the Qpix software.

Step 03
Validated & supported

You leave with a tester that reproduces reference blocks in spec, DAkkS-traceable indenters in the box, and method support with a sub-24h engineer response.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

Which hardness methods and force classes does the Qness 250/750/3000 E EVO cover?
The Qness 250/750/3000 E EVO is an economical universal macro platform offered in three force classes — 250, 750 and 3000 kgf. It performs Vickers (HV), Brinell (HBW), Rockwell (HR) and Knoop (HK) macro testing with electronic force control from 0.3 kgf up to 3000 kgf. Methods conform to ISO 6506, ISO 6507 and ISO 6508, and to ASTM E10, E92 and E18. Additive Plus configures the force class, indenters, XLED lenses and clamping to the parts and standards you report to.
What standards is it calibrated and verified to?
Each Qness 250/750/3000 E EVO is verified against certified reference blocks and calibrated to the methods it runs: ISO 6506 / ASTM E10 for Brinell, ISO 6507 / ASTM E92 for Vickers and ISO 6508 / ASTM E18 for Rockwell. Indenters ship DAkkS-traceable. This direct and indirect verification is exactly what an AS9100 auditor or NADCAP assessor checks, so your macro-hardness results are conformant, not merely comparable.
How does the E model differ from the A+, M and CS/C EVO models?
The E EVO is the economical entry into the EVO universal macro range: a full-size frame with motorized (asynchron-motor) dynamic height adjustment and electronic force control, without the motorized XY stage of the A+. The A+ adds an automated stage and sample camera for unmanned series, the M uses a manual hand-wheel, and the CS/C is a compact C-shaped frame. Choose the E when you want motorized height and a large test space at a lower cost than full automation.
How large and heavy a part can it test?
The E EVO offers a 510 mm test height, 320 mm throat depth and a large 584 × 450 mm anvil with motorized dynamic height adjustment, and supports effectively unlimited workpiece weight when the part rests on the bench or floor. Taller frames are available on request. An applications engineer will confirm reach, clamping and clearance for your specific parts before you buy.
Can it run case-hardening depth, weld maps and Rockwell production checks?
Yes. With Qpix software the E EVO runs Vickers CHD and SHD traverses, HV/HB maps across welds and heat-affected zones, and fast Rockwell checks on hardened production parts. Motorized dynamic height speeds setup between parts of different height, and XLED Brinell evaluation lenses give repeatable reads on soft Brinell impressions. Programs are stored and repeated for consistent series testing.
What is the lead time, and what does installation include?
The Qness 250/750/3000 E EVO is configured to order with a typical lead time of 6–10 weeks. Delivery through Additive Plus includes factory-trained installation, calibration and verification against reference blocks, and operator training on Qpix. The basic machine weighs about 500 kg and draws ~1230 W (110/230 V), so we plan siting and power with you. Request a quote for pricing and a confirmed schedule.
Can it test additively manufactured parts, castings and forgings?
Yes. The E EVO validates macro hardness on LPBF and DED metal builds, sintered PM parts, castings, forgings and heat-treated sections, using Brinell up to 3000 kgf for coarse or heterogeneous structures and Vickers/Knoop/Rockwell where appropriate. Additive Plus runs metallography and AM materials work in-house, so we advise on the force class, method and fixturing for your alloy.
