What your materials team actually checks
High-temperature strength
Inconel 718 retains high strength and creep resistance to ~700 °C and precipitation-hardens (solution + double age) for peak properties — the workhorse superalloy for hot-section and rocket parts. Full COA per lot.
A materials engineer on the line
Qualification question? We've run these alloys in production on AO Metal — parameter sets available. Sub-4h reply, NDA standard. Use the Talk to materials engineer button above.
A-Powder Inconel 718 is a gas-atomized nickel-chromium superalloy for laser powder bed fusion (LPBF): high strength and creep resistance to ~700 °C, precipitation-hardenable, with excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance. China-produced, lot-certified for production.
Why engineers choose A-Powder Inconel 718
Four things a materials team verifies before qualifying a powder.
High-temperature strength
Retains strength and creep resistance to ~700 °C — the workhorse superalloy for hot-section and rocket parts.
Precipitation-hardenable
Solution + double age (γ” Ni₃Nb) develops peak mechanical properties — heat-treat to your target spec.
Lot-certified consistency
Full COA per lot — PSD, chemistry, apparent density and flow, traceable lot number for AS9100 and NADCAP workflows.
China-produced, fast dispatch
Made in China and shipped from Los Angeles in 10–20 business days. Need a tighter cut or an official purchase request? Just ask.
How we supply it
Every lot ships as a verified process, not a bag of powder — melted, atomized, tested, certified.
Melted & atomized
US VIGA (vacuum induction melt + gas atomization) for spherical, low-oxygen superalloy powder.
Tested & certified
Every lot checked for PSD, chemistry, apparent density and flow — full COA with a traceable lot number.
Dispatched from LA
Bottled or hoppered and shipped from Los Angeles in 10–20 business days.

Chemical composition
| Element | Content | Element | Content |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nickel (Ni) | 50.0–55.0% | Molybdenum (Mo) | 2.80–3.30% |
| Chromium (Cr) | 17.0–21.0% | Titanium (Ti) | 0.65–1.15% |

| Niobium (Nb+Ta) | 4.75–5.50% | Carbon (C) | ≤ 0.08% |
Heat treatment & processing
- Precipitation-hardening — solution anneal then double age (γ” Ni₃Nb) per AMS 5662/5663 for peak strength.
- Stress relief before plate removal is recommended; HIP available to close residual porosity for fatigue-critical parts.
- Excellent weldability for a superalloy; good oxidation resistance to ~980 °C.

Same lot 4 times in a row. We stopped re-running parameter sweeps after the second order — density was identical to the first build.
Asked about ferrite content on a Friday. A materials engineer answered Monday morning with actual data, not a sales pitch. That's why we keep ordering.
COA matches the bottle. PSD and flow are exactly what was on the sheet — we run it on a Renishaw 500Q and it hits density on the first try.
