What your process engineer actually checks
Pick the envelope, keep the platform
1.1 m on the -4 and -6, a wider 808 mm plate on the Pro-6, 1.7 m of vertical axis on the -U-6. If your part is currently welded from sections because nothing could build it whole, one of these four changes that answer.
An applications engineer on the line
Not a ticket queue — engineers who run LPBF in production in-house at AO Metal. Alloy qualification, parameter development, troubleshooting. Sub-4h reply, NDA standard.
The Farsoon FS621M is a large-format LPBF platform sold in four configurations — FS621M-4, FS621M-6, FS621M Pro-6 and FS621M-U-6 — from a 24.4×24.4×43.3 in / 620×620×1100 mm envelope up to 620×808×1200 mm on the Pro and a 1.7 m vertical axis on the -U. It builds parts that used to be welded from sections: rocket combustion chambers, large aerospace and energy hardware.

Why engineers choose the FS621M
Four things your process engineer will check first.
Four envelopes on one platform
620×620×1100 mm on the -4 and -6, 620×808×1200 mm on the Pro-6, and a 1700 mm vertical axis on the -U-6. A part that used to be welded from sections comes off one of these plates whole, and the joints stop being a failure mode.
From four to six lasers, 500 or 1000 W
4×500 W or 4×1000 W on the FS621M-4, six 500 W lasers on the -6 and -U-6, and 6×500 W or 6×1000 W with Beam Shaping on the Pro-6. An advanced dynamic 3-axis scanning system and real-time recoating monitoring across all of them.
Change filters without stopping the build
A dual-station filter design with a secondary circulating system lets filters be exchanged mid-build. On a 258-hour job that is the difference between finishing and scrapping.
Partially closed powder system
Shared sealed containers for loading, unloading and sieving, with continuous powder feeding to the build. Powder quality stays monitorable on jobs that run for days.
How we deliver and support it
What happens between the purchase order and your first qualified part.
Scope the cell
We size the configuration against your part mix, then plan power, argon or nitrogen supply and extraction with your facilities team. Machine envelope is 228.3×169.3×157.5 in / 5800×4300×4000 mm; EUR/China: 400V±10%, 3~/N/PE, 50Hz, 40A. The US transformer ships with the machine.
Install and train in the USA
Commissioning and operator training by our US service team. First builds are run together, so your operators hand over parts rather than a checklist.
Parameters, spares, engineer
Validated parameter sets for your alloy, US-held spares, and an applications engineer who has run LPBF in production in-house at AO Metal. Sub-4h reply, NDA standard.
What the FS621M is built for
Large-Format Metal LPBF in four configurations, from 1.1 m to 1.7 m of vertical axis. The FS621M runs four or six lasers at 500 W or 1000 W depending on configuration over a 24.4×24.4×43.3 in / 620×620×1100 mm build envelope. Full specifications are in the Specifications tab below.
Four configurations on one platform
Farsoon builds the FS621M in four configurations. The powder handling, the filtration and the open parameter access are the same across all of them — what changes is the envelope and the laser count. We supply and support all four.
| Configuration | Build envelope | Lasers |
|---|---|---|
| FS621M-4 | 24.4×24.4×43.3 in / 620×620×1100 mm | 4×500 W, optional 4×1000 W |
| FS621M-6 | 24.4×24.4×43.3 in / 620×620×1100 mm | 6×500 W |
| FS621M Pro-6 | 24.4×31.8×47.2 in / 620×808×1200 mm | 6×500 W or 6×1000 W with Beam Shaping |
| FS621M-U-6 | 24.4×24.4×66.9 in / 620×620×1700 mm | 6×500 W |
Configurations as listed by Farsoon. Which one pays back depends on your part envelope and annual volume.
Farsoon has also announced the FS621M-Cu, a copper-alloy version of this platform running four 1000 W ytterbium fibre lasers, developed for thrust chamber liners. Ask us if copper is on your roadmap.
Powder handling and workflow

Qualified materials
Farsoon lists IN718, HX and AlSi10Mg as qualified grades, with HAYNES 230, TA15, Ti6Al4V, IN625 and 316L in process development for the FS621M. Because the platform is open, a grade outside that list is a parameter development project rather than a dead end, and one we can run with you. The alloys we stock are lot-certified and held in the USA.

A 780 mm combustion chamber in one piece
Farsoon also publishes a larger chamber built on this platform with Deep Blue Aerospace: an Inconel combustion chamber 780 mm tall and 550 mm in diameter, printed as a single part. At that size the challenges are the build height itself, full-height thermal stability and keeping powder supplied for the whole run — which is what the 1.1 m axis and the continuous feed are for.
