The QATM Qness 250 / 750 / 3000 M EVO is a manual, semi-automatic macro hardness tester family that runs Brinell, Vickers, Rockwell and Knoop across three force classes — 250, 750 and 3000 kgf — from 0.3 kgf up to 3000 kgf (2.94–29430 N) under electronic closed-loop force control, with a hand-wheel Z-axis, a 510 mm test height and XLED macro optics.

A smooth hand-wheel Z-axis positions the head by feel. A universal microscope resolves 0.1–8 mm fields, and a 5 MP Ethernet camera (up to 270 fps) streams to the PC over long cable runs.

How does the manual M model differ from the A+, E and CS/C EVO models?
The M EVO uses a smooth hand-wheel Z-axis and manual positioning, with electronic closed-loop force control — the most economical way into the EVO macro range and well suited to single-piece testing on large parts. The A+ adds a motorized XY stage and sample camera for unmanned series, the E is a universal frame with motorized dynamic height, and the CS/C is a compact C-shaped frame. Choose the M when you test large parts one at a time and want a lower entry cost.
How large and heavy a part can it test?
The M EVO offers a 510 mm test height, 320 mm throat depth and a large 584 × 450 mm anvil, and supports effectively unlimited workpiece weight when the part rests on the bench or floor. The swivel table tilts up to 5° with built-in grips so bulky parts often need no extra clamping. Taller frames are available on request. An applications engineer will confirm reach and clearance for your parts.
Can it run case-hardening depth and weld surveys?
Yes. With Qpix software the M EVO runs Vickers CHD, SHD and Rht traverses and hardness surveys across welds and heat-affected zones, and stores and reports series results. Positioning between points is manual via the hand-wheel, and XLED Brinell evaluation lenses give repeatable reads on soft Brinell impressions. For fully automated traverses across many specimens, the A+ EVO adds a motorized stage.
What is the lead time, and what does installation include?
The Qness 250/750/3000 M EVO is configured to order with a typical lead time of 6–10 weeks. The M EVO validates macro hardness on LPBF and DED metal builds, sintered PM parts, castings, forgings and heat-treated sections, using Brinell up to 3000 kgf for coarse or heterogeneous structures and Vickers/Knoop/Rockwell where appropriate.
