What your process engineer actually checks

Heat resistance you can design around

With a glass transition of 135 °C, KS1208H holds stiffness and dimensional stability where standard SLA resins soften and creep. It is the grade to reach for on quick molds, jigs, and prototypes that see heat during test or service.

Why engineers choose KS1208H

A rigid, heat-stable SLA resin with production-ready mechanical numbers.

135 °C glass transition

Holds stiffness and dimensional stability where standard resins soften and creep — the reason to pick KS1208H for heat-exposed parts.

Strong and rigid

65 MPa tensile, 110 MPa flexural, 2720 MPa flexural modulus and 87 Shore D after UV post-cure — an engineering resin, not a display resin.

Low 340 cps viscosity

Thin, free-flowing resin recoats cleanly on large build platforms, supporting fine 0.08–0.12 mm layers without dragging or trapped bubbles.

Runs across SLA platforms

A standard 355 nm laser resin (Dp 0.115 mm, Ec 13.5 mJ/cm²) — compatible with Kings, UnionTech, ZRapid, 3D Systems and similar industrial SLA machines.

How we supply it

A production print center supplying proven resins — not a warehouse reselling boxes.

Step 01
Proven, then stocked

We run a production SLA print center in-house. We only stock resins we have printed and validated ourselves — so what ships is a known quantity, not a catalog listing.

Step 02
Stocked in California

KS1208H ships from our Los Angeles warehouse in 1–2 business days, sealed with a batch data sheet, plus starting exposure parameters for common SLA platforms.

Step 03
Custom formulation on request

Need the resin tuned to a specific temperature, toughness, colour, or certification? Tell us the target and we will discuss a custom SLA formulation with our material partners.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Email [email protected] — NDA standard, typical reply within 4 hours.

What temperature can KS1208H withstand?
KS1208H has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 135 °C measured by DMA, the highest in the Kings SLA resin range. Below that point, printed parts keep their stiffness and dimensional stability, which is why KS1208H is chosen for quick molds, tooling, and prototypes exposed to heat during testing or short-run service. Actual continuous-use temperature depends on load and geometry; request the data sheet for your case.
Which 3D printers is KS1208H compatible with?
KS1208H is a 355 nm laser-SLA resin compatible with most industrial SLA systems, including Kings, UnionTech, ZRapid and 3D Systems laser platforms. It runs at a penetration depth (Dp) of 0.115 mm and critical exposure (Ec) of 13.5 mJ/cm², with exposure tuned per machine. Tell us which SLA system you run and our materials engineer will share starting parameters so you can print KS1208H without a long calibration cycle.
What layer thickness and exposure settings should I use?
KS1208H prints at 0.08–0.12 mm layer thickness with a penetration depth (Dp) of 0.115 mm and critical exposure (Ec) of 13.5 mJ/cm². Its low 340 cps viscosity at 30 °C supports clean recoating on large platforms. We supply starting exposure parameters for common SLA platforms so you can begin printing quickly, then fine-tune for your specific machine.
How strong are parts printed in KS1208H?
After UV post-cure, KS1208H reaches 65 MPa tensile strength, 110 MPa flexural strength, 2720 MPa flexural modulus, 87 Shore D hardness, and 3–5% elongation at break (ASTM D638/D790/D2240). Notched Izod impact is 20 J/m. It is a rigid, stable engineering resin — strong and heat-resistant rather than flexible — well matched to tooling and fit-check prototypes.
Does KS1208H require post-curing?
Yes. Like all SLA resins, KS1208H parts are cleaned and then UV post-cured to reach their full mechanical and thermal properties, including the 135 °C Tg. Post-cure develops the crosslink density that gives the resin its heat resistance, so skipping or under-curing will reduce both strength and temperature performance. Ask our engineer for the recommended post-cure schedule for your part thickness.
How should I store KS1208H and what is its shelf life?
Store KS1208H in its sealed 10 kg bottle, away from direct light and heat, at 15–30 °C. Kept sealed and out of UV, the resin holds its properties for about 12 months. Shake or stir gently before use to re-homogenize. Because it is light-sensitive, keep it covered on the machine between builds and avoid prolonged exposure to ambient UV.
Can I order a sample before buying a full 10 kg bottle?
Yes. Rather than a free-resin giveaway, we offer a paid benchmark print in KS1208H: send your STL and we print a representative part you can heat-test and fit-check in your own process. It is the fastest way to confirm KS1208H suits your application before committing to a full 10 kg bottle. Use the Talk to materials engineer button to arrange it.
