Description

IN718 Inconel Alloy Powder is produced via VIGA to yield highly spherical powder with a particle size range of 15–53 µm. Optimized for LPBF, it ensures smooth recoating, minimal spatter, and consistent layer deposition across production builds.

The alloy composition (Ni 51.7 %, Cr 20.06 %, Fe balance, Nb 5.01 %, Mo 3.17 %, Ti 1.02 %, Al 0.47 %) provides excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. After heat treatment, typical mechanical properties include: ultimate tensile strength 1350 MPa, yield strength 1150 MPa, elongation 23 %, and hardness 45 HRC. Controlled oxygen levels support consistent powder flow and repeatable LPBF performance.

AviMetal 718 Inconel is compatible with extensive post-processing, including heat treatment, machining, welding, and surface finishing, making it ideal for producing critical, high-performance components.
